This granola ball recipe is also a great one to try for your picnic basket. In case you have no time to plan for the picnic, we also love a good sushi, easy and you can buy it from the high street on the way to the park.

We always bring some toys with for the children so we can use the time to relax, our favourite outdoor games are football, frisbee, and some outdoor speakers to add to the atmosphere!

The English weather is always unpredictable so make sure you check the weather if it’s a great day weather wise, cover bases with a parasol, sun cream and sun hats and with the little ones in tow wet wipes and bin bags are always needed. Whenever possible try to being re-usable plates and cutlery its a great way to reduce plastic usage. You can read our top tips here on 25 ways to reduce plastic.
