Kensington Mums was invited to a few reformer pilates classes and now you can have access to a full range of services from Ten’s trademark Dynamic Reformer Pilates, Personal Training, Physiotherapy and Massage therapy, all delivered under one roof by experts in their field. Ten Health and Fitness continue to pride itself on being London’s only premium studio collective to bridge the gap between the fitness and medical sector. About Ten Health and Fitness
Ten Health & Fitness is the result of a happy accident – quite literally. Founder Joanne Mathews was inspired to create Ten following a serious car accident that left her with back and pelvic injuries. The challenges she faced during her recovery revealed a potential gap in the market for an integrated end-to-end service combining fitness with rehabilitation.
A pioneer of what was to become Boutique Fitness – the fastest-growing sector in the fitness industry – Ten opened its doors in a basement in Notting Hill in October 2007. Today it operates sites in St James’s, Fitzrovia, Tottenham Court Road, Notting Hill, Notting Hill Gate, Little Venice, Chiswick, Hatton Garden and the City of London, with more on the way.
Ten offers clients a combination of Dynamic Reformer Pilates classes, Personal Training along with in-house Physiotherapy, Massage and clinical exercise prescription (for clients with life altering conditions like cancer, heart disease, menopause and diabetes), all under one roof.
Ten Health & Fitness clients (new and existing) can access a range of services either digitally or in studio from classes and Personal Training through to Physiotherapy, exercise rehabilitation and Clinical Exercise Prescription. This launch rounds off Ten’s pivot to a fully blended offer.
Ten’s unique approach is underpinned by the expertise of its trainers and therapists, some of the most expert in the business, and also by its Move Better approach – a focus on precision, control and form that places as much emphasis on quality of movement as it does on intensity of movement. At a time when exercisers are increasingly beginning to embrace the importance of a more prehabilitative and sustainable way to work out, this is an approach whose time has most definitely come.
