Cresconova Labs

If you are looking for something truly special to fill those long August weeks, Cresconova Labs at 47 Redcliffe Gardens, Chelsea offers a holiday camp experience with a difference. These are not ordinary activity clubs: this summer’s programmes are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and give students a real sense of ownership over what they create.

Running from 17 to 28 August, the camps can be booked as a full week or as flexible daily drop-ins to suit busy family schedules. With small groups capped at just 12 students, each one enjoys warm, individual attention and the kind of thoughtful, personalised experience that is increasingly hard to find.

The Cresconova Labs Difference

At Cresconova Labs, students are invited to think deeply, make bold choices, and see their ideas come to life. Each day is filled with hands-on making, imaginative challenges, and plenty of time to ask questions, test possibilities, and change direction. The focus is on nurturing confidence, perseverance, and a genuine love of discovering “what happens if…”.

Chief Creative Officer Christine Braun explains the thinking behind the programmes: “We do not want students to simply follow instructions or copy an example. We want them to feel what it is like to shape an idea from scratch, make it their own, and see where it leads. That sense of ownership is what stays with them long after the camp ends.”

This Summer’s Camps

Deep Ocean Discovery

In Deep Ocean Discovery, young explorers step into the hidden world beneath the waves. They immerse themselves in stories and visuals of mysterious sea life and far-off ocean landscapes, then use those ideas as inspiration for their own creations. Each student designs a unique underwater world and builds a moving scene that captures the strange, fluid motion of life in the depths.

“It is a wonderfully rich theme,” says Christine. “Students are working with ideas that can feel big and abstract, but we watch them light up as they start to connect the dots. Curiosity does the heavy lifting once they are genuinely intrigued.”

Flight Test Discovery

Flight Test Discovery is perfect for students who love to tinker, build, and see things soar. Throughout the week, they sketch ideas, create prototypes, and try out different designs to see what flies best. The camp ends with a joyful flight challenge, where every student has the chance to launch their own invention, cheer on friends, and celebrate how their ideas have evolved.

“Flight is one of those topics that captures students’ imaginations immediately,” says Christine. “What matters most to us, though, is what happens when a design does not behave as expected. Learning to pause, ask ‘what changed?’ and then try again is at the heart of the Cresconova Labs Framework – it is where resilience and real confidence are built.”

Places at Cresconova Labs camps are limited, and with groups of just 12 students, they are expected to book up quickly.
