Visit the National Portrait Gallery this summer for a fun fortnight of free activities inspired by the BP Portrait Award 2016!
Create a portrait jigsaw, try your hand at grinding pigments, design a poster, print a tote bag, make a 3D animal or decorate a frame. All activities are free though some will require a ticket. Visit National Portrait Gallery website for full listings and information on how to book.
Explore the BP Portrait Award 2016 exhibition with the Gallery’s free Family Trail, featuring drawings by illustrator Emily Rand. The trail offers a range of fun activities plus the chance to win a goody bag and books signed by Emily. Pick up a copy at the entrance to the exhibition.
Throughout the summer holidays you can also visit the Gallery’s Family Activity Base to pick up sketchbooks, drawing materials and a free ‘Talking Heads’ trail, to help you explore the Collection with your children.
