A few weeks ago, Kensington Mums was invited* to Kensington Palace to attend their Tiny explorers sessions. These are aimed for children aged 0-4 years and includes sessions of messy play, historical characters, movement and drama just to name a few. It was a great way to explore and play in a magical palace and not any palace Kensington Palace. They had different sessions for babies (0-toddling), and toddlers – 4 years set at different times.
Upon arrival, we were greeted for registration by a team of volunteers and assistants. All prams were left securely on the ground floor while our personal belongings were locked away in lockers. We got to explore the Palace with baby in tow.
We went around Kensington Palace visiting different rooms, while dressing up and singing. We even made a wish in front of the Queen while being led by the session leader. Little ones certainly learn through play, and this was a great example. The session took place in the Education room which was very baby friendly. Each corner was set up with different creative play approaches. At the end of the session, we all sang in the middle with the use of the colourful parachute and hand puppets, which the kids loved!
Check out some of the pictures of the session below.
