Sky Garden Review

A few weeks ago we were invited to the recently opened Sky Garden on the 35th floor of an office building on Fenchurch Street in the City. Hands down this bar has the most spectacular views across London.

The entrance feels a bit like the security at Heathrow Airport, but once you get up there you are mesmerised by the beautiful view. I got to take my mum along for an early Mother’s day treat and a bit of mother and daughter bonding. We headed upstairs to the Darwin Brasserie on level 36 which is an all day brasserie with seasonal home-grown British ingredients. The crowd was buzzing and I couldn’t help myself by walking around capturing beautiful view across London city.

The staff were friendly explaining the speciality on the menu, we ordered for starters Sticky Shallot tarte tatin which is a great combination of sweet and sour with a bit of crunchiness to the side and prawn cocktail. For mains we opted for some British line caught haddock & chips with tartare sauce & mushy peas and my Mother had “RHUBARB’S” Handmade beef burger, which is one of their specialities. We couldn’t leave without their delicious desserts overlooking London.

It was definitely a great way to celebrate an early Mother’s day treat and I would definitely be going again for a date night with Mr Kensington Dad.
