Kensington Mums enjoyed a day out to visit Sensational Butterflies exhibition at the Natural History Museum in the heart of South Kensington. It was indeed a sensational experience. Little ones and older ones will enjoy wandering through this tropical atmosphere while having beautifully coloured butterflies fluttering freely above in the outdoor space. If you are lucky enough you would find one sitting on your shoulders, a perfect camera moment to capture.
You will come face to face with hundreds of striking butterflies, moths and caterpillars. There are species from all over the world. Staff do mention that it is not allowed to touch the butterflies, so this is something to keep in mind.
Little ones will be given stamp and collect sensational card to discover along their way around the butterfly house teaching them the different stages of a butterfly life cycle.
Don’t forget to browse through the Butterfly shop at the end where you will find anything from butterfly plates to books on butterflies.
Sensational Butterflies is open from 29 March to 15 September.
