Ciao! I’m Paola Langella – a Pilates instructor & integrative nutrition health coach, based in West London. If you have big health & fitness goals for this year, I am here to help!

Introducing SHAPES Studio

I have worked as a private health coach & personal trainer for many years, and many of my clients lead international lifestyles – travelling often for work or spending part of their year abroad. To solve the problem of time differences and schedule clashes, I came up with the idea to create an online space which encompassed everything that I offer to my private clients, but in a much more flexible way. In 2019, SHAPES Studio was born.

Combining Pilates, nutrition, mindfulness & lifestyle coaching, SHAPES Studio offers a 360° holistic approach to health & wellness. It’s designed to fit around your life & busy schedule – you can train with me wherever you are in the world, at a time that works for you! Our huge library of classes is updated weekly, ranging from targeted 5-minute blasts to full 45-minute workouts, which you can stack together to build fun, effective routines.

SHAPES works on a subscription basis, either monthly or yearly. I also offer a tailored prenatal plan, designed to support you through pregnancy & aid in your recovery after baby is born. Prenatal membership costs just ÂŁ20 per month and you are free to cancel at any time – there are no joining fees, contracts or cancellation penalties, so you are always in control. Or if you prefer, for just ÂŁ25 per month, you can join as a full member to gain access to our full library of dynamic and cardio Pilates classes – perfect once you feel stronger and want to get back to your fitness level.

So, Why Pilates?

I believe that Pilates is a miracle for the body. It is a full body discipline, which focuses on core strength, flexibility, balance & breath.

I first discovered the magical powers of Pilates after a life-changing spinal injury left me unable to continue my professional dance career. My doctor recommended it as a gentle way to strengthen & rehabilitate my muscles as I healed. Then once I tried it, I was hooked! I knew I had to share this beautiful discipline with the world, so I trained & qualified as a Stott Pilates instructor.

With my background in dance, I quickly developed my own unique style, borrowing from ballet, yoga & cardio. My classes will help you to sculpt & lengthen your muscles without adding bulk, creating a longer, leaner silhouette.

Classes at SHAPES Studio are divided between dynamic (a calm, grounding session) and cardio (for a high-energy workout), with gentle stretch sessions, prenatal specific classes & reformer classes as additional options.

Prenatal Pilates

SHAPES Prenatal classes are designed to support you throughout your nine months & aid recovery afterwards. You will strengthen the pelvic floor, tone, stretch & release tension – it’s an ideal way to stay active through this unique & special time. Many SHAPES Prenatal members love it so much, they go on to become full members once they’re back to full strength!

My Nutrition Philosophy

I do not believe in diets. My mission is to help people discover the joy of a healthy lifestyle, starting from a place of love & support, rather than restriction & deprivation. We simply cannot hate ourselves into great shape!

As a qualified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, my unique holistic approach combines “body food” (what we eat), with “soul food” (everything from career and relationships to exercise and spirituality).

Together, we will shake up your routine with a personalised “roadmap to health” expertly tailored for your body, lifestyle and goals.
