We have all been here, as shopping for a car seat is a tough thing to do and to make the right decision about which is the best option to protect your child. There are so many choices and so it makes it even harder to select one. However, no matter what car seat you select, if it is for a newborn or for the next generation, the important thing is that you do proper research and then select what is best suited for you and your child. The most important thing after all is to follow the installation instructions carefully so the car seat can be properly used and offer optimum safety level.

Kensington Mums were delighted to try out Graco’s i-Size High Back Booster Car Seat. This is an enhanced child restraint system and it has been approved to the latest UN Regulation R129/03. Plus it has all the features to last as they grow.
It is i-Size safety, with safety surround side impact protection, that goes on each side of the car seat with TrueShield side impact protection. One of our favourite features is the lightweight design, only 5.1 kgs; making it easy to transport and change from one car to another if need be. It is a one-hand car seat with 10 adjustable positions for the headrest so it grows with your child! Very convenient and comfortable for the child as it has memory foam padding in the headrest area and armrests and premium comfort padded seat that is machine washable, so perfect for my son as he very often is snacking when we are on the go, and yes as you can imagine most of the snacks end up on the car seat and so making the padding easily removable for washing is one of the things I was very pleased with.
Another great feature this car seat has is that it has a retractable cup holder on each side. This is simply brilliant and one of the features that my son requested to have as when we are alone in the car I have to stop to give him his water or juice but now it is so easy to simply put the juice on the cupholder and for him to reach it alone whilst mummy is driving.
My son is the type that will fall asleep in the car immediately as movement is very soothing for him. So ensuring the headrest of the car seat is comfortable not only whilst awake but also when he is sleeping was one of the biggest features I needed to ensure the car seat provided. On the previous car seats we had, when he fell asleep, the headrest was not really supporting the head in his sleep and he looked as if he was going to have neck pain. With the EverSure car seat, this is no longer an issue; he sleeps comfortably while his head is well supported on the sides of the headrest. So, this is another plus that I can assure you this car seat has.
EverSure is a premium comfort car seat that ensures a super comfortable ride and it was the perfect transition from our newborn car seat with all the important safety features and benefits all mums look for in a car seat. Plus the price is fantastic knowing that this car seat will last c. 8 years!

The Graco Near2Me buggy gives you everything you need in a stroller. It has all the bells and whistles of an expensive stroller but without the crazy price tag. It’s got big wheels for managing a variety of terrains. It’s got an enormous basket for carrying all you need for a day out. It’s got a height-adjustable frame with forward and rearward facing seat positions. It’s even got a trendy leather handle. So I (the Dad) feel confident that I can manage to keep my buggy envy at bay!
It doesn’t collapse to the smallest of buggies and it is a bit tricky to carry so if city living is key for you then this might not be the best option but it fits very easily into the boot of our small hatchback car, which means it is great for days out and longer walks. Collapsing and unfolding the buggy is really easy once it’s placed on the ground, and the frame is solid enough to hang all our bags on it (even after we’ve been to the supermarket!). It’s also got a little flap so you can check on your child.
The buggy was really easy to assemble on arrival. It came in a compact box with a small number of parts that anyone could put together and without the need for any tools or instruments. We were up and running within 5 minutes of receiving it. It was no hassle and faff free.
Overall it’s a good all-around and super versatile stroller that looks smart walking down the street and is very smooth, snug and comfortable for our little girl.
