Meet the experts: Inspiring Women
Jo Tantum. UK’s best loved baby sleep expert. Jo is a popular media figure in the parenting industry and is often asked to contribute to TV, radio and print features. She will be sharing with Kensington Mums the tips and tricks to help all sleep deprived parents. Her secret ‘sleep formula’ which could work for all babies, is a gift for getting infants to sleep through the night, feed well and establish a personalised flexible routine based on natural patterns. Her advice is backed up by extensive personal research and results and she is dedicated to continued research and understanding of the best techniques to help babies to sleep.
Saira Khan. Mum, TV presenter and Founder of Miamoo. Saira Khan shot to fame in the first series of the smash hit BBC 2 TV Series “The Apprentice” in 2005 and has since taken the UK by storm. Her documentaries for BBC2 called , “ Adopting Abroad, Saira’s Story” was shown to great national reviews in Sept 2011. She is MD of her own company “miamoo” a luxury range of skincare products. She launched the business in 2006 directly after completing The Apprentice. Having suffered with dry skin all her life and then overcoming the condition through self care using natural ingredients, she wanted to educate parents on how to prevent and heal dry skin conditions and offer a natural range of products that were effective yet kind and gentle on delicate skin. Saira will be talking to Kensington Mums on how to be confident in your own skin, and her journey from The Apprentice to miamoo.
Amanda Frolich of Amanda Action Club is a bubbly and larger than life character with a special talent for interacting with and entertaining children. She is a leading children’s fitness expert, celebrity entertainer and – most of all – she is a mother. Amanda’s Action Club offers a unique, stimulating, sensory and educational mini-workout for pre-school children and their parents, through classes, parties and events. She creates an environment where children – and adults – can be active in a fun way, without the restrictive rigour of a formal exercise class. She will share with Kensington Mums her top tips on the importance of physical activity and healthy eating from a young age.
