We’ve had a busy summer at Kensington Mums HQ
Kensington Mums visited Dalston House part of Barbican. On a sunny summer day, a bunch of Kensington Mums, Dads and little ones headed over to the east side of London…as it was the last day and to no surprise there was a long queue…just over 3 hours so we had to have different ways to entertainment and keep the little ones amused and happy. Once there, we were captured by people’s imagination and creativity especially the one who came with a red cape acting as the flying superman! In case you do not know about this event, it is an amazing three-dimensional visual illusions, by Argentine artist Leandro Erlich. Resembling a theatre set, the detailed facade of a Victorian terraced house – recalling those that once stood on the street – lies horizontally on the ground with mirrors positioned overhead. The reflections of visitors give the impression they are standing on, suspended from, or scaling the building vertically. It was a great experience to share with little ones.
Mums and Dads also deserve some fun during summer. That is why we organised Summer drinks. It was great to meet some of you and hope to meet the rest of you soon. Click here to browse through pictures from the night.
Summer wouldn’t be the same without a visit to Legoland, Windsor. Click here for a full review.
Kensington Mums visited the Science Museum. One of our favourite museums. They had loads of summer activities going on, including the Energy Show. Read what we thought about it here.
At Kensington Mums HQ we love lavender, so we escaped the buzzing streets of Kensington and headed to Mayfield Lavender for a bit of Lavender Love. Click here for beautiful pictures.
This summer it was all about the Royal Baby. We congratulate the new parents Kate and William and hope they are enjoying time with their little George. We headed to Kensington Gardens to welcome Kate as the new Kensington Mum. We were extatic when Sky News, BBC and MBC news approached us for a group interview!
If you are following us on Twitter you would have known that we visited London Zoo for their little creatures family festival. There was loads of hands on activities, splashing fun and live demonstrations.
