Science Camp
Join us for an action packed May Half-term, from 29-31 May at Imperial College in South Kensington for our Science Camp on Evolution, Adaptations & Natural Selections – Scientific Exploration of the Five Kingdoms, daily Tuesdays-Thursdays, 9.30-3.30, 4-11 years (age adjusted groups) and early drop-off. Your children will explore the Five Kingdoms of Life: Plants, Animals, Fungi, Eubacteria, Archaebacteria. The camp will cover classifications, similarities and common characteristics of life organisms. We will also learn about the evolutionary and ecological relationships between organisms and we also will cover vertebrates and invertebrates, anthropoids, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and much more! The school of rock
(9.30am – 3.30pm each day) at St Etheldreda Church in Fulham. In just four days, local budding young performers who have a love for the performing arts or simply want to build confidence are invited to be part of a performance which will be created as they go along. Participants have the chance to work with the Little Voices team at this workshop week learning things they wouldn’t anywhere else. An Elixir of Letters’ at Chelsea Physic Garden
The Lettering & Commemorative Arts Trust presents ‘An Elixir of Letters’ created by 15 of the UK’s foremost letter carvers, displayed in the verdant surroundings of Chelsea Physic Garden from May-October. Inspired by the myriad of plants that are the ingredients in teas and tisanes, wines, cordials, beers and herbal brews, ‘An Elixir of Letters’ will slake the thirst of art lovers and gardening enthusiasts alike. Talks and tours are free, though normal entry to the garden applies.
e2 Young Engineers Half Term Camps
Join e2 Young Engineers for a fun filled week, be an e2 Young Engineer discovering principles of engineering, physics and science in a playful way. Build motorised models using unique LEGO® kits, see Newton’s Laws and the conservation of angular momentum in action, along with other important STEM concepts. Get imaginative and go beyond our intuitively designed build sheets, to make enhancements and create auxiliary items. STEM skills are important for all children so why not have fun while developing them. Ages: 5-10; daily Tue-Fri; 9:30-4:00; 29 May – 01 June. Teddy Tennis – Sport, music and fun
Teddy Tennis uses music, teddy bear pictures and games to create wonderful lessons for children aged two to six. Inspiring their imagination and developing their athletic skills. The Oppidan Camp
The Oppidan Camp is a dream week for any child and takes learning outside the classroom. With five days of outdoor sports, practical skills, team games, cooking and camping, children try their hand at a host of new skills and activities, come away with new friends and an increased sense of confidence and perspective. This is invisible learning for the next generation. Location: The Woodhall Estate, Hertfordshire. Ages: 8-13 years. Dates: 2018 camps running in July and August (4 nights / 5 days). Oppidan Education also offers one-on-one mentoring for children of all ages.

The Ecology Centre runs a scheme of environmental themed activities in half-term holidays for four to eight year olds (all children must be accompanied by an adult). These activities utilise the centre and our wooded Wildlife Area. Their fun packed programme includes outdoor activities like minibeast hunting and nature trails, and animal themed craft sessions.
