Kensington Mums reviews

Bequest contacted us to collaborate and ensure that our lovely community learned about the amazing and important services they provide – such as Life Insurance and Will writing. You can read more about Bequest here. This can surely be a very special and difficult topic to discuss as a family, moreover when we have little ones, the mere thought that one day we will not be there for our little ones simply is too devastating. But it is indeed a very important fact of life that needs to be discussed and more important acted upon. Whether be it to write a will and/or even get life insurance.

Writing a Will is something many of us, especially mums are not very pleased to do orwill could have some difficulty doing so. Just as it is for myself. However, I think this is so important, if you are a mum like myself, where your extended family lives abroad and no one lives in the UK and you have only one child. As time goes by, and furthermore living through a worldwide pandemic, we need to ensure that our little ones will be able to inherit all/any of our assets. Unfortunately anything can happen regardless of age even if we are now healthy. More so in a Covid -19 era, but also life itself can take a adverse turn: for us be it an accident or even an unfortunate stress related situation that can arise when living in such a stressing and bustling city as London.

This being said I was more than happy to proceed and do my Will, thinking mainly of my son. Plus, I must admit that Bequest has a very attractive and accessible offer. You can write your Will completely free of charge. Yes, you read well – simply go online and start completing the free Will writing process they have, it is the easiest thing ever! Super fast and convenient way to write your own Will via a simple intuitive platform. They will check and approve the Will and you have a choice of either storing the Will with them or keeping it yourself. Best of all you can make changes to it anytime. As life does change as well as our situations such as having more children, getting divorced, getting married again, you name it, your Will can be updated whenever new circumstances come along. They offer different packages which are accessible ranging from £0 all the way up to £49.

Kensington Mums experience

You simply create an account then they will send you a link to your email address and from there you are off to start doing one of the most important documents in your life.
First step is to add all your personal information, which is easy and done quickly within minutes you are off then to start with your Executors. The whole process is divided into sections where you have the “About You” section all your personal details, then “Your People” section, where you complete who you are selecting as your Executor, then you can start adding any Guardians you might have who will take care of your child(ren) if you have any. Then comes the “Finance” part, here is where you can plug in all the information about any properties you have either in the UK or abroad, all your assets such as pensions, bank accounts, life insurances, savings accounts, stocks and shares, businesses, etc. Another thing that is very useful, and I really appreciated to have handy, is that they recommend you to talk to a trust in reference to your assets. Also, they have available throughout the whole process videos that you can watch, without leaving the page neither opening an additional window, that thoroughly explain everything in an efficient easy way, without any legal jargon, that makes you understand fully and helps you to make the right decision. Another good thing is that every section tells you the approximated time required to complete it, genius to know for us busy mums so we can plan how much time we have left to go and complete it.

Then we are off to the section called your “Wishes”. Here is where you can decide how you will divide your assets among your child(ren) or any other person and also the proportion either equally, fully, etc. You can also select a charity if you wish to donate to. You can also add your funeral plan if you have one and also what will happen to your body and if you want to be an organ donor. Then you have the “Gift” section where you can be as specific as possible and ensure that all your belongings will be “gifted” to that special person of yours. Then just as simply as that you are done with the sections and so ready to decide to either go for the “My Basic Will” option that you can print & sign at your own home that will be reviewed on submission and is legally binding, or you can also go for the “My Will +” option which gives you a professional bound Will with 1st class delivery and no need to print for £39 or “Premium Will” which is professionally bound, you will also have first class delivery and returns and no need to print, they offer lifetime secure storage and also upload to the National Will Registry and it will be professionally checked for only £49.

For security purposes, which is always a good practice, the system will log you off if there is no activity, you just need to log back in and get on with it. Another thing that I really liked, is as you can imagine we are always, surely I am, most of the time multi-tasking, and so if you have the roast for dinner inside the oven, meanwhile taking advantage and answering some emails from work, and in the meantime also writing your Will you can be happy to know that the system automatically saves all you have plugged in so if you get logged off you can easily come back to finish the part you still need to complete. All this to say you can do your Will in stages and not in one shot and have the peace of mind that all you have done so far will be saved.

I highly recommend everyone to go and visit their website, get to know them as I did and proceed to create one of the most important documents every one must have before it is too late. Trust us you will be content and have peace of mind you got this off your to do list in such an easy and efficient manner.
