What’s on this Christmas for you and your little ones


The Christmas Holidays are coming. If you are staying in the capital this Christmas, you will find loads of things to keep little and older ones entertained and happy this festive season. Just wrap up warm and enjoy the fun! Here is a run down on what’s on. We have picking our favourite places to do and have left no stone unturned that will tick all boxes for the whole family to enjoy. All you need to do is PLAN!

Kensington Mums was invited to celebrate an early Christmas at the italian restaurant Acciugia in the heart of Kensington. The food was lovely and the staff very friendly, worth trying if you are staying in the Capital this holiday season.

Join the festive fun and take part in allsorts drama for children’s ‘Play In. Two Days’ on the 18th & 19th December in SW1.The children devise the script and then use music, props, costumes and their imagination to create, entertain and surprise family and friends with a seasonal show at the end of the two days. Dashing through the Snow at the London Transport Museum, Covent Garden.Monday 29 December 2014 to Friday 2 January 2015. From storytelling to arts and crafts workshops. Covent Garden is always a great choice. Don’t forget to see the lego reindeers parked outside. Not to be missed!

Stagecoach Kensington and Hammersmith provides quality down-to-earth training for 4-18 year olds in the three performing arts disciplines of dance, drama and singing in a safe and happy environment.  They aim to nurture and develop young potential, stretch children’s imaginations and build on their self-esteem and confidence.  The skills learnt by Stagecoach students don’t disappear they are skills for life. Family Art Workshop: Christmas Celebrations at the National Portrait Gallery. 21 December 2014, 14:00-16:00. FREE. This will be a Christmas activity exploring how families have celebrated Christmas through the ages from Tudors to the present day.  Free ticket required, available one hour before the event on a first come, first served basis.  Places are limited to 20 tickets per session for children, plus an accompanying adult.  For ages 3+.


Start the new year with Tip Top Dance School. Visit Santa in his whimsical Grotto in Canary Wharf and also enjoy lots of free festive activities, including cupcake decorating, face painting and much more. We go there every year and the kids love it. Activities start from 20-24 December 2014.

In case you haven’t been, we love the Duke of York Square. With something for the whole family to enjoy. Little ones will enjoy visiting Santa Grotto’s until 23rd December, book early to avoid disappointment.
