Are you looking for some fun family activities to do in London this January? Look no further! Check out this article to find out what’s on this month…
Something for the whole family…
Looking for something to entertain your little ones? Join the weekly SENsory Social Club (for adults and young people with SEND), meet the characters of Cutty Sark or catch a planetarium show at the Royal Observatory Greenwich

Head to the Natural History Museum where you can book a Dinotour with one of their knowledgeable tour guides to get up close and personal with a towering Titanosaur and all the main characters in their world-famous Dinosaurs gallery. Or visit the Flight gallery at the Science Museum to trace remarkable achievements in the history of aviation.
See London from an alternative viewpoint and take a Thames Clipper up the River. The most exciting (in our opinion) form of public transport in London, there are 20 high-speed Thames river boats, offering services from all major London piers every 10-20 minutes. And kids go free!
If you like river cruises, how about joining the Illuminated River Uber Boat Tour departing Tower Pier at 21:30 on Thursdays or Saturdays and hearing about all the landmarks that have shaped the capital’s history.
Exciting exhibitions
Step into the world of Disney and experience 100 years of magic at the London Excel until 21st January 2024. Disney 100: The Exhibition celebrates the iconic characters that captured the hearts of audiences (big and small) by showcasing 14 interactive installations and more than 250 extraordinary artefacts and works of art, costumes and props, and incredible Disney memorabilia.
If you are looking for urban art, book your ticket to see the world’s largest collection of Banksy artworks on Regent Street – The Art of Banksy – showcasing over 150 pieces, many of which are on public display for the very first time.

Do not miss the Balloon Museum now in London, don’t lose the opportunity to be part of the biggest inflatable art event in the world!
After a sweet afternoon treat?
Experience afternoon tea with a difference on Brigit’s Bakery Classic Afternoon Tea Bus London Tour. The vintage routemaster buses drive through the streets of Central London, taking in some of the City’s best sights, whilst you indulge in the fabulous Brigit’s Afternoon Tea on a double-decker bus!
A different take on afternoon tea is The Ampersand Hotel’s Jurassic themed tea, which takes its cue from a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Expect a mix of exciting and curious dishes including a Volcanic eruption, a Jurassic mountain and a Dinosaur egg basket.

Catch a show
The multi-award-winning musical, The King and I, returns to London for 6 weeks between 20th January and 2nd March 2024 at the Dominion Theatre. Starring Helen George, star of BBC’s Call the Midwife, and Darren Lee, it is guaranteed to be the most romantic production in the West End this January.
Feeling a little bit nostalgic? Discover Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid like you have never seen them before, in this immersive concert experience unlike any other. ABBA Voyage is a virtual concert residency by the Swedish pop group ABBA, featuring some of their greatest hits.
Cirque Du Soleil presents Alegria: In a New Light at the Royal Albert Hall from 11th of January until 3rd of March 2024!
And finally something for the foodies…
Opened only a matter of months, award-winning restaurant Mamalù as the “Best Restaurant Concept” has quickly seduced both locals and visitors to Earl’s Court with its charming and authentic Italian dining experience. Whether the occasion is a leisurely weekend family lunch or an intimate dinner for two, Mamalù’s elegant, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere is synonymous with the warm hospitality that Italian culture is famous for, showcasing an array of exceptional Italian classic dishes, prepared using high-quality, sustainable and seasonal ingredients.

Or why not visit the iconic London Borough Market in Southwark? Each stall, shop, and restaurant boasts a distinct character that sets them apart and the food they offer is not only unique but also delicious and flavourful. From meat and charcuterie, fish and seafood, cheeses, homemade cakes and pastries, world delicacies, to coffees and wines, there is something for all food enthusiasts.
