Weekly scoop 30th June 2014

Hello lovely KM readers,
Here’s your weekly newsletter from Kensington Mums.
Keeping you in the loop with the local scoop

The summer holidays are fast approaching. Fear not, we have our summer scoop coming up filled with information on summer camps, activities and fun things to do with your little ones. I hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of the academic school year and making the most of the beautiful weather we are having (well kind of, London can’t make up its mind sometimes). In this week’s scoop you will find information on family cinema, post natal yoga and a loom band challenge at Kensington Gardens. If that’s not enough, why not go for a bit of dance workshops at Westfield London? Whatever you do, we want to wish you a fabulous week.

Join Cancer Research Focus Group. Their research is funded entirely by the generosity of supporters. They want to make sure they communicate how they spend this money in the best way they can, so people understand how they are helping us save lives, and have the opportunity to get involved (in championing their work).  They need to make sure the information they provide about the research is easy to understand, interesting, and as accessible to as many people as possible.  And this is where you can help them. They are looking for opinions of people with no experience of science and research to give us them your honest thoughts about how we can improve they communications at a short focus group in London on the evening of 21st July 5.00-8.00pm at The Angel Building, Islington. They will cover travel expenses, provide some tasty food, and offer the chance to meet like-minded people and really make a difference to how they work.  If you are interested in finding out more please contact engagement@cancer.org.uk.
