Easter Fun
You are invited to an eggciting Kensington Easter Family Fun event on 14th April between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm at Kensington Town Hall. Enjoy free Easter activities such as storytelling and colouring, Easter crafts and games, egg hunt and face-painting.
Get ready for an eggstraordinary Easter celebration at Merchant Square, Paddington’s canalside haven, on Friday, 5th April from 11 am to 4 pm. This year’s Humpty Dumpty Free Easter Egg Hunt promises to be a cracking good time, with the brilliant Bakehouse Factory events agency leading the Humpty Dumpty-themed festivities at Floating Pocket Park. The egg-citing adventure will feature the delightfully dippy characters of The Egg Soldiers, Humpty Dumpty, and Queen Yolko Oh-No, who will bring the experience to life in a series of fun-filled family story sessions.
From 29th March to 14th April, kids can explore the Museum of Brands’ Time Tunnel with their ‘Eggsplorers’ Family Brand Hunt. They can also make their own Easter Egg bunting activity and take home some Easter-themed decorations.
For the little ones and their families
Join Mouse on a magical theatrical journey at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre as she finds fun, courage and new animal friends. Bear Snores On will travel from the theatre lawn to an indoor pop-up space within the theatre grounds on Saturday 6th and Thursday 11th April.
If you like music and storytelling, Royal Albert Hall’s seasoned storytellers offer interactive sessions for babies and toddlers using musical instruments, singing, movement and stories. The Storytelling & Music Sessions cost £6 per child and last 30 minutes.
Experience the thrill of the world’s most famous ballet, My First Ballet: Swan Lake, with your little ones, in this specially adapted version for children aged 3 and upwards at the Peacock Theatre between 4th and 13th April 2024.
Join Peppa and her family and friends for a fun day out at the zoo and also the beach. The performance is live at Richmond Theatre on Saturday 20th April and Sunday 21st April. Packed full of songs and dance, Peppa’s Fun Day Out is the perfect show for all Peppa fans.
Learn about wetland nature and wildlife with Bing and his friends with activity trails, storytelling, mini shows and much more at WWT London.
Bluey is coming to life at Kew Gardens this Easter with outdoor activities and games inspired by the show. Children will also have the chance to meet Bluey and learn about the plants and wildlife found at Kew.
Cultural Experiences
Discover Out Shopping: The Dresses of Marion and Maud Sambourne at Leighton House and Sambourne House. The exhibition unveils the Sambourne House collection of dresses belonging to Marion and Maud Sambourne.
Eid in the Square returns to Trafalgar Square for the 19th year to celebrate the end of Ramadan on 20th April between 12 pm and 6 pm. There will be lots to do including an exciting lineup of performances, the Inspiring Muslim Awards, fun activities, market stalls, and delicious food from around the world.
Or enjoy live entertainment, halal treats and stalls at the Eid Festival at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City between Friday 12th and Sunday 14th April.
Take part in a family workshop to explore gardens, wildlife, textures and patterns whilst making a shared carpet at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The Drop-in Design: Community Carpet workshop will take place between 3rd April and 12th April between 11 am and 4 pm.
Attend the Upcycled Buttons Workshop at Leighton House on 13th April between 11 am and 12.30 pm for children aged 5-11 years old. You will look at textile embellishments before you create your own upcycled fabric button brooches using recycled materials, colourful fabrics, needles and thread.
Learn simple but effective papercraft techniques in this one-day workshop at the Fashion Textile Museum.
For the nature lovers
Explore the natural world at the Nature Champions Holiday Sessions at Holland Park for children aged 8 to 12 years old. These drop-off sessions include outdoor play, creative activities and a free campfire-cooked lunch.
Accompany the Natural History Museum on a tour to discover the work they do: protecting the planet, identifying new species, securing a more positive future for nature and people, and protecting the collections they care for. Available on 5th, 12th, 21st and 18th April between 11 am and 12 pm.
For the thrill seekers
Step into the colourful and surreal world of Bubble Planet near Wembley Park and embark on a bubblestatic adventure! With 10 rooms, each with a different bubble-themed activity, you’ll have the best fun experience. All ages are welcome. Children under 4 visit free of charge.
Discover how one million LEGO® bricks have been turned into more than 100 works of art at The Art of the Brick exhibition at the Boiler House. Watch a great array of sculptures, including a T-Rex nearly 6 meters tall, an LED light and sound show, and more. You can also get creative and build your own LEGO sculptures in the playground area!
