About the Other House
The Other House is tearing up the rule book and launched a new sector of Residents Clubs, redefining the hospitality market. It effortlessly combines apartment-style living with hotel services on tap and superb club facilities. Think pied à -terre meets private club, available for all residents to enjoy with no membership required. It is cool, intriguing, bold and committed to sustainability. Whether it’s for a day or a year, it is their other house for as long as they are in town. Launched in 2019, The Other House is a joint venture partnership between London Central Portfolio (LCP), leading real estate investment advisory in Prime Central London and APG, the largest pension provider in the Netherlands. It opened in South Kensington in July 2022 and will be opening in Covent Garden in 2024, further openings are planned in central London and internationally.
A home away from Home
We stayed as a family and The Other house was really a home away from home. The Club Combo rooms, were connecting with our own kitchen, bathroom and living room. One Club Flat with a King Bed, one Club Flat with two Twin Beds.
In the bathroom, we found sustainable bath and body products, which are made in the UK, vegan, paraben free and fully recyclable. In the kitchen, we had some sustainably sourced coffee pods and tea, as well as washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets. There’s also crockery, cutlery, appliances and other kitchen staples in case you wanted to cook up a small meal. In case you are staying for more than 14 nights, they also provide a few additional items to get you started, compliments of The House.
All The Other House Residents have exclusive access to their Private Club, with bars The Keeping Room, and Hogsmire, as well as the wellness and wellbeing retreat, The Other Space, with a vitality pool, state-of-the-art gym, yoga studio and meditation hub.
The Other Space
The Other Space is a place devoted to mind, body and inner wellbeing. This is something available to The Other House residents and members, The Other Space features a dedicated wellbeing area, which offers a uniquely curated menu of spiritual, alternative and holistic treatments to rebalance and restore the body and mind. These include a regular schedule of group, on demand and private sessions. From astrology workshops and shamanic healing to chakra cleansing, reiki and breathwork sessions, each holistic therapist has been hand-picked for their expertise and esoteric talents.
State-of-the-art facilities at The Other Space also include a gym, featuring the latest hi-tech equipment with touchscreen running machines, Peloton bikes, an Assault Air bike, TRX Pro 46, Concept 2 Rower, Smith machine, a heavy boxing bag, and an extensive range of free weights. In addition, there is a vitality pool, dedicated meditation room, sauna and steam room, and private yoga studio with in-person and on demand drop in classes. if you are staying at the Hotel, you are able to use the swimming pool with the kids for some family time between 7am – 9pm (Children 12 years and under are permitted between 3pm and 4.30pm, with supervision).
The Other Kitchen
Whether it’s a drink with your friends at the Owl & Monkey, the destination bar that’s open to everyone, or a quieter moment by the fire in The Keeping Room for Residents and Members only, we have the perfect spot for eating, drinking and entertaining, no matter your mood.
The Other Kitchen is an all-day street café offering a casual breakfast and lunch, with coffee and home-baked scones in the afternoon. Just off the bustle of South Kensington’s Gloucester Road, it strikes a balance of informality and glamour with seasonal soups and salads, signature sandwiches and small plates.
The menus focus on sustainability, freshness and big flavour and are created to be vegan and vegetarian inclusive. We loved their breakfast bar menu and Ă la carte, make sure you order the avocado on toast, divine!
