Taiwanese Family Lunch or Dinner at Din Tai Fung in London

Whether you are in London, visiting or just been out to the theatre or after a long day of shopping, head to the  popular Michelin Guide recognised Taiwanese restaurant. It is famous for its iconic Xiao Long Bao – steaming hot soup dumplings. We visited the Centre Point location for an early dinner. We were greeted by friendly staff and automatically the kids  noticed the robots. More on that later! With floor to ceiling windows on both sides, creating a cosmopolitan vibe, Din Tai Fung Centre Point is the perfect place to enjoy family time with a view.

As for the menu at Din Tai Fung Centre Point expect to enjoy the brand’s famous Xiao Long Bao, as well as its signature cocktails Din, Tai and Fung. The menu has a selection of dumplings both with pork and some vegetarian options available. Further enhancing the exceptional dining experience, the kids had their their food delivered to them by robots. They loved it! You can clearly notice that Din Tai Fung’s heritage and culinary craftmanship is at the heart of the brand, with over 60 years serving authentic Taiwanese cuisine.

Did you know that the brand serves over 100 million Xiao Long Bao a year worldwide; however, their cuisine remains largely unchanged from their humble beginnings. Each of their iconic Xiao Long Bao takes 40 minutes of hand preparation, carried out by dedicated Dian Xin, dim sum chefs, who ensure that each dish keeps to the high standards that are expected from the brand. The kids enjoyed seeing this in action from Din Tai Fung’s signature open kitchen, much like its sister sites at Selfridges and Covent Garden.

If you are dumpling lover and looking for a bit to eat when in London, head to Din Tai Fung’s for a memorable night out.
