Learning to swim can often be seen as more of a luxury rather than an essential. This can mean that so many children miss out on the opportunity to learn how to swim. Not learning makes it harder for children on holiday and when they may need this crucial life skill the most or get into any trouble in the water. Many children missed out on the opportunity to learn how to swim last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to Swim England, over 2 million children missed out on the opportunity in the UK alone last year.
What are Semi-Private Swimming Lessons?
Semi-Private Swimming lessons are lessons that have two students and one instructor/ teacher in a class. The instructor is in the pool with the students taking a hands-on and technique-driven approach.
Our Semi-Private lesson methodology is endorsed by our brand ambassador and 8-time world swimming champion Mark Foster, who strongly believe in the Swimming Nature philosophy. In addition, Mark firmly believes that having the instructors in the water with just two students in the class is very beneficial for the student’s progress and development.
Why are Semi-Private lessons beneficial for my child?
Semi-Private lessons are a good investment for your child, and you will see that return on investment pretty quickly because of the amount of progress the children tend to make. In addition, we carefully pair your child with another child of the same age and swimming ability, allowing the instructors to structure the lessons accordingly.
Having two children in a lesson is very beneficial for your child. When the kids are in the lesson, they challenge and encourage each other, which brings out the best in your child, which is why we see children develop a lot quicker than if they were to attend group swimming lessons.
With our instructors taking a hands-on approach, they can show your child exactly how the various swimming strokes should be practised. This allows your child to develop a lot quicker than if there is an instructor on the poolside trying to explain various strokes and how they should be practised to accomplish the art of swimming.
Our methodology is unique, and it works. For example, we taught Olympic Gold Medalist Tom Dean how to swim at our pool in Kensington when he was a young boy.
What about Baby lessons?
Our baby lessons take place in groups with the parent in the water with the baby. Our baby lessons are much fun and are an excellent way for your little one to gain water confidence at a very young age and help develop their motor skills. Not only does it benefit your baby, but it benefits you as a parent too. The baby lessons are an excellent way for parents to meet other parents and for other babies to interact with each other.
We see so many smiling babies and hear so many little giggles of joy. We love our baby lessons!
