If you’re looking to be more sustainable in your lives or just looking for really beautifully designed baby and kids products then we’ve found the brand for you! Pure Earth Collection (previously Little Earth Baby) redesign everyday products using totally natural, non-toxic and biodegradable materials, right down to the labels and packaging. Better for the earth and the health of our babies. Everything’s made ethically in happy, family-run, Sedex approved factories and they remove plastic from our oceans with every purchase made.
Who’s behind the brand?
Mother of two and lover of all things natural and eco, Emma Bianco founded the company after being shocked by just how much stuff on the baby market was synthetic and often contained toxic chemicals.
She spent the first year of the business researching safe and natural materials, as well as looking into the different health and environmental implications of certain chemicals.
Everyone in the team is a mother working flexibly from home around family life. The business is supported by an impressive Advisory Board made up of mothers who give honest feedback on ideas and product samples.
The company completed an oversubscribed fundraise at the beginning of this year, so they now have more than 170 investors from around the world. They’ll be using the capital to add lots of new products to their range over the next few months.
Their hero product is their all-season organic bamboo sleeping bag which actually helps babies sleep! With a unique fabric composition this sleeping bag is able to cover the largest temperature range on the market, enabling babies to regulate their body heat more effectively and making the bags perfect for room temperatures from 13-27 *C. They also fit newborns right up to age 3-4 all in the same bag, meaning you buy less and create less waste. These hugely popular sleeping bags are now out of stock and they are awaiting their restock, with a few delays caused by the lockdown. We’ve been told they’ll be offering some fantastic discounts on these bags once their pre-orders open so keep an eye out!
Their natural foam play mats with in neutral designs are ideal for any home and made from sustainably harvested tree sap and bark, with the trees left living and nurtured for up to 200 years! So much better for the kids and also for the environment than the plastic foam alternatives.
They also make organic blankets and plastic-free toys, which swap out the traditional polyester for organic and natural alternatives – even the filling is biodegradable.
They’ve recently launched some super luxurious velour robes and jackets. Ideal for summer staycations and cool UK evenings.
Natural and sustainable ethos
Pure Earth Collection make everything to last each child as long as possible. They don’t believe in fast fashion or mass consumerism, so their products are all designed to fit children for up to three years. They’d rather sell less and help consumers protect our beautiful planet than boost their own revenues.
They carefully research every fabric and material that they use to make sure their products are as pure and natural as possible.
What can you expect in the future?
They’re constantly designing and developing new and innovative natural alternatives to everyday kids products. Expect to see a number of product launches over the next couple of years and an upward expansion of their age range! We’re so excited to watch this company grow!
