With childcare potentially accounting for one of the largest outgoings for some parents, how can you balance high-quality childcare throughout the school holidays with tight monthly budgets?

With news about price rises and recessions all over our screens and papers this past 6 months, there’s no doubt we’re all feeling the pinch when it comes to the cost of living and it is now more important than ever to find ways to optimise our spending.

We’ve pulled together a few ways to help make attending day camps and organising childcare more manageable over the course of 2023.

1) Take Advantage of Early Bird Pricing

For those in the know, planning ahead can mean big savings when it comes to taking advantage of early bird pricing when securing your desired camp place.

At Camp Beaumont for example, our pricing is based on camp availability – meaning the earlier you book, the more you save! Forward planning your childcare with Camp Beaumont not only helps save money but can provide peace of mind for upcoming school holiday periods.

You can save up to 25% when you book in advance in 2023, by booking early and taking advantage of our Early Bird pricing, you can not only save on total costs but you can really make the most of payment plans by spreading remaining balances into smaller monthly chunks.

Make sure that you snap up Early Bird prices by booking in advance, and keep an eye on our social channels for key dates!

2) Spread the Cost Using Payment Plans

Throughout 2022, we’ve seen the rise of payment plans; which make things a little easier when it comes to spreading the costs of purchases.

With most major retailers now offering their own payment plans in order to make larger payments easier for customers, we are delighted to announce that Camp Beaumont will also be offering a low-deposit payment plan to help parents.

With our improved payment plans, you can now book with a low deposit of 20% of the cost of your child’s camp place and split the remaining balance across the remaining months at no extra cost! To book and make the most of the payment plans at Camp Beaumont, simply contact the Customer Experience team on 01603 851000.

3) Use Tax-Free Childcare Vouchers

As part of a government scheme, some parents can get up to £500 every 3 months for each child to help with the cost of childcare. This is to be used towards approved childcare including childminders, after-school clubs and play schemes – including Camp Beaumont day camps.

Camp Beaumont accepts a wide range of Tax-Free Childcare Vouchers, which can be used across all our locations and seasons. Using tax-free childcare vouchers is just another way that helps alleviate costs without compromising on quality and reliable childcare throughout the school holidays.

4) Use Insurance to Save Money When Plans Change

As the last few years have proved, we never really know what’s around the corner and it’s more important than ever to ensure we look after our pennies – especially when plans can change suddenly.

For example, in addition to a variety of optional extras available to add on, Camp Beaumont also offers insurance packages for additional peace of mind. Our insurance options are market-leading and available at just £1.36 per person, per day. This saves on potential unused camp days as it covers you for cancellation if your child is feeling unwell and unable to attend.

Summary

Although we are facing unprecedented times, quality childcare rightly remains a top priority for parents across the UK. As discussed, there are a number of ways we can help with budgets when it comes to childcare options throughout the school holidays that makes things a little easier.

From comparing local options to making the most of early bird pricing, small changes can really start adding up to huge savings without compromising on quality and reliable childcare.
