Our owner, Lucy Gibson, an English mum of two spunky girls with a nonstop schedule, knows how it feels to leave things to the last minute. Between kids’ activities, managing her household and her growing business, plus adding in a bit of self-care, there never seems to be enough hours in the day!
When Lucy founded Sand Dollar in 2010, her goal was to provide designer Swimwear and unique Resort Wear collections to your door quickly! As a Family run business, we’re committed to this goal and our customer-first approach is clear in everything we do.
We seek out well known, established Designers who are passionate about creating something fresh and original, all whilst crafting a product that passes our picky quality standards. We want something that you’ll feel great wearing and won’t see on someone else at the resort; nothing spoils an outfit quicker! All of our orders are wrapped with care in our signature tissue paper to save on the tons of cardboard packaging wastage accrued from online shopping and shipped the next day from our Essex distribution centre. At Sand Dollar, we refer to our customers by name, not a number. What started as a popup store in Dubai with only one employee (Lucy) has grown to an international company employing 20+ staff members. We run Five stores in Dubai along with offices and warehouses in both Dubai & the UK. We’re small enough to care and large enough to be competitive in price.
