Kensington Mums reviews Paultons Park
Paultons is the UK’s number 1 family theme park – located in Hampshire – with over 70 exciting rides and attractions, set within 140 acres of beautiful parkland on the edge of the New Forest National Park. Paultons is also home to the UK’s only Peppa Pig World with 9 fun Peppa-themed rides, great for an amazing day out with the kids.
Enjoy roller coasters, thrill rides, family rides, indoor and outdoor play areas, water splash parks, entertainments and an astonishing collection of birds and animals at this amusement park.
Kensington Mums had the great opportunity to visit the Park during the holiday season which made it even more magical. We do highly recommend to download the Park App to explore and also give you valuable information of the waiting times for each of the rides and so it is very handy to have it. Tickets start from 39.75 and kids under 1 year go free and also parking is free!
There is plenty to discover at Paultons Park during Christmas, festive entertainment on the show stage and it’s brand new undercover seating area.
Christmas at Paultons is something that you really shouldn’t miss as it is a great family day outing during the most wonderful time of the year!
The whole park is decorated for Christmas. While at Peppa Pig World you can enjoy the following festive shows: Santa’s Christmas Wish Show where you will find yourself singing and dancing along and even get to see Father Christmas and be able to take pictures with the characters at the end of the show as unfortunately due to Covid-19 Santa’s Grotto is closed. Be prepared to wait until it is your turn as every kid and family want to take a picture on their own with Father Christmas. There is also Frosty’s Snowtime and Santa’s Storytime to enjoy which are perfect for the little ones. Enjoy the Magical Illuminations around the park and hear the Marvelous Musical Christmas Tree that has a light show every 15 minutes.
Be camera ready at all times as you will be able to snap the perfect Christmas picture with Frosty the Snowman and Snow Princess as they make plenty of appearances throughout the day.
Do keep in mind that a selection of rides and attractions will be open and some will be closed during this time, so please check the website for the Christmas Park Map.
During this time of the year we recommend to dress warm as the day can be longer that expected and if you are not properly dressed you could freeze. So hats, scarves, and gloves are a must as well as a proper coat or dress with layers as the weather is always so unpredictable that it is better to be able to remove items than to be cold. We were very very lucky as the day was a beautiful sunny winter day and so it was not that bad to walk around outdoors.
We also suggest that you make sure to bring plenty of snacks and juices for the little ones – if you forget anything at all no problem as you can buy them there but it is always more economical to have these handy for the little ones when they are craving for something and there is a long queue at any of the food places. If you like, you can also bring your own food, there are plenty of places to have a picnic but we think this is a good plan for the summertime as it might be too cold to have food outside. We had lunch at the newest addition to the Paultons Park which is called the Tornado Springs – a fun place where you will feel as if you are in a midwest desert resort town in the American heyday of the 1950s. You can try out the 8 new rides they have, including a spinning coaster, gyro swing and a driving school which my son simply adored – we even took as a souvenir for him his own driver license. Going back to the lunch part we decided that we badly needed to warm up by eating hot food and also take a break from the outdoors. We ate at Route 83 Diner, again you can feel you are in America as the menu is hamburgers, chicken nuggets and all the items you will find at an American diner!
Once again we highly recommend going and getting the festive season vibe at Christmas at Paultons.
