Tokyo Olympics inspires a new generation of swimmers

Every child’s swimming journey starts with a Learn to Swim programme! We’re incredibly proud to know that the beautiful strokes of Tom Dean, Olympic Gold medallist in the Men’s 200m Freestyle and the Men’s 4 x 200 m freestyle relay were founded at Swimming Nature where he learned to swim with us aged 6-8 years.

Swimmers inspired by Tokyo Olympics

With the excitement of the Olympics this summer and the success of Team GB’s swimmers, Swimming Nature, London’s premium swimming lesson provider, cannot wait to restart the Autumn term this September – and is sure the Team GB swimmers, with their impressive performances and historical medal haul, will have inspired a whole new generation to start swimming.

Our teaching methods

Based in the heart of London, Swimming Nature has been teaching babies, children and adults to swim for over twenty years, specialising in in-water personalised swimming tuition.

Unlike more traditional swimming lesson providers, Swimming Nature teach purely on a one-to-one or one-to-two basis to maximise tuition time in the water.  The science behind their child-led methodology means a cognitive approach to teaching, leading to fast learning and development in the four strokes – front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.

One of the most impressive and unique aspects of Swimming Nature, is that many of their highly qualified instructors are former national and international competitive swimmers.  They all teach using the Swimming Nature method – working in the water with their students to inspire and accelerate their journey to being fitter, faster and more efficient swimmers.

They are passionate about students ‘creating a lifetime relationship with water’– and you never know they could even be the next Adam Peaty, Kathleen Dawson, James Guy or Anna Hopkin; everyone, including gold medallists have to start somewhere and with in-water personalised tuition, there is no better way to create strong and competent swimmers.

As part of this unique teaching method, Swimming Nature will progress your child through seven different animal levels that is represented by a colourful animal character – from Frog to Swordfish – and each week through this step-by-step developmental programme they will learn new skills – and have lots of fun too!

The company’s award-winning technology is also used to track the progress of students, both children and adults, using a specially created mobile data system.  Instructors measure improvement and record achievements, so that parents can easily track their child’s progress from home!  Aligned with this, is also Swimming Nature’s online booking system, which makes booking your preferred day and time of lesson really simple – great for parents with siblings too who want to co-ordinate the lessons.
