Our first session at the local children centre for the motherhood exhibition was emotional and empowering. So many brave Mums with inspiring stories. Join our next session in this great project, because we are more than just a Mum! Our next session is on 25th October 2013. Read below for more information.



It was a beautiful day and a beautiful walk in Hyde Park for the Walkabout Foundation. Thank you for your kind and generous donations. The crowd was buzzing and the walk was very baby friendly. Stay tuned for more pictures.

Kensington Mums events and meet ups

Our Mummy and baby/toddler meet up at the Science museum is this Wednesday 2nd of October 2013. We are very excited to meet our readers in person for a session of fun and interactive play. Our group will have a private performance  exclusive for Kensington Mums. If you would like to join us, it is not too late, please do email us at with subject heading ‘the garden’ with the name and age of your little one. The session will be in the afternoon. Please note children must be under 6 years of age and must be accompanied at all times. You will be contacted by email with more information.

We are proud to share with you that the photographs from our Kensington Mums Motherhood Exhibition in collaboration with Story of Mum, will be exhibited at the Photographer’s Gallery on 18th October for the Story of Mum: Mum’s make date. It is free to attend. Click here to book your space.


Friday 25th October 2013
. Share your voices and stories on motherhood. Join us with the Royal Borough of Kensington  and Chelsea and take part in the Motherhood Exhibition. This session will take place at Clare Garden Children Centre from 10am-11am during their action, songs and rhyme sessions.  Please click here for more information and to register your interest.


Dress up and be glamorous. Save the date. Thursday 14th of November 2013. Kensington Mums celebrate its second birthday.Join us to celebrate over dinner and drinks at a surprise location. What’s on for you and your little ones


Hedgerow Harvest at the Natural History Museum.  Sunday 6 October. Celebrate the rich diversity of life sustained by our nation’s hedgerows in this special event. Click here for more information.



Free play for under 5s at the Museum of London. Don’t miss the mini mole session or the little moles in these fun and interactive play sessions which run the every Wednesday of every month. Click here for more information.



11_rug_rhymesRug Rhymes at Southbank Centre. FREE. Friday 11 October 2013.  Under-5s and their parents are invited to the Poetry Library poem rug for a short session of nursery rhymes, poems and rhyming stories. There is also an opportunity to look at and borrow books from our ever growing children’s collection. Click here for more information.


 Read for RNIB Day. Friday 11 October. Read for RNIB Day is now in its third year and they need your support to make it bigger and better than ever. By taking part you will be raising much needed funds for Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and helping to change the story for blind and partially sighted people all over the UK. The Mosaic Rooms is exhibiting Equinox, From Beirut to London, the first UK solo exhibition by Syrian Kurdish artist Lawand. The exhibition features new paintings and drawings by the artist, made recently during a prolonged stay in Beirut, Lebanon. Click here for more information.


Take part in the Big Draw event at Kensington Palace. 5th of October 2013. . The theme  is ‘Draw Tomorrow’, so you will be following the footsteps of Sir Christopher Wren and designing the palace of the future!   All ages welcome. Click here for more information.
