Happy 1st of October everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed some family fun days out. Thanks to everyone who came to the first aid course which was held on Thursday evening at the lovely Whole Foods Kensington. I certainly learned important skills which are always good to know in case of an emergency. You can have a peak on the pictures of the course here.
This evening we’ve got the pamper session at CocoNail Bar, and I am looking for some well deserved pampering and time off being a Kensington Mum.
In this week’s newsletter we’ve got new Mummy and baby/toddlers meets up as well as exclusive offers for Kensington Mums. We also reveal information on the family Halloween Extravaganza Party with Amanda Action Club.

Thanks to Geraldine from First Aid for Life for providing us with an intensive 3 hours first aid course. It was important for me to know how to deal with an emergency situation and in case my kids had a serious accident or sudden illness. We covered, the basics of resuscitation and CPR. What to do when a child is unconscious, chocking, bleeding burned and other serious injuries just to name a few. I would highly recommend this course to all parents and carers who take care of little ones, you never know when an accident may happen! Its always better to be well prepared . The next available course is on 24th October 2012 at Whole Foods Kensington, full detailshere and below. Thanks to Whole Foods Kensington for having us there!
Kensington Mums Bootcamp. Due to low numbers of attendees, the class will be taking place once it reaches its minimum requirements. Please register your interest to [email protected] The bootcamp session will be taught by former ex Olympic Athlete Linda Hedenstrom in Holland Park on a Saturday morning. £8-£10 per session. Kensington Mums went to the the launch of Big Draw 2012 at Victoria and Albert Museum. There was lots to do from seeing teams of top cartoonists cross pencils in the Battle of the Cartoonists, making a crown, designing a tapestry just to name a few. Best of all we got to meet CBeebies star Mister Maker in the making!
Kensington Mums pamper time is held tonight at Coconail Bar. Take some well deserved time off and come along to a pamper evening. Choose between classic manicure or classic pedicure along with some sushi nibbles and a complimentary soft drink. This event is taking place today Monday 1st October from 7-9pm. Prices for the Manicure Deal is £30 (includes classic manicure + sushi + complimentary soft drink) and Pedicure Deal is £40. Please email me if you would like to attend.
Learn the skills to capture that special moment of your little one. Kensington Mums has joined forces with Photography for Parents. These Practical photography workshop for parents gives you everything you need to know on how to use your camera and to take amazing photos of your children. The classes will start on Monday 8th October from 10-11.30am at the Chelsea Theatre. Babies and young children are welcome in class. You will be encouraged to take some amazing shots of them in class under close supervision of a baby and child photographer or practice at home if you are coming alone after dropping them at school. Join us for this MUM-AND-BABY FRIENDLY class that gives you a skill for life! The next first aid course will be on Wednesday 24th October at Whole Foods Market, Kensington at 63-97 Kensington High Street, London W8 5SE.
Kensington Mums has teamed up First Aid for Life. The course will be thought by the Geraldine will be teaching First Aid for babies and toddlers exclusively to Kensington Mums. You will each receive a comprehensive First Aid manual and certificates can be provided if required. There will ample baby and child mannequins for you to get your hands on to practice on. The course lasts for 3 hours and covers most common childhood injuries and major illnesses. Topics includes choking and drowning as well as what to do if your child is unconscious and how to deal with burns, head injuries, fitting and bleeding. The classes cost £70 per person and partners and Daddies are welcome to attend. Time: 7-10pm. These courses are very popular, so please book as as soon as possible to avoid dissapointment.

Halloween Family Extravaganza! Sunday, 4th November 2012 at the Chelsea Theatre (SW10 0DR) from 2-5pm. Amanda’s Action Club and Kensington Mums have combined forces to bring you a Halloween Party like no other!
