This week’s newsletter is sponsored by South Kensington Children Working. This new Montessori- based playgroup is starting in September. South Kensington Children Working is now taking place every term-time Monday morning from 10-11am in South Kensington. It provides a variety of natural and everyday activities for children based on the observations and conclusions of Maria Montessori. Children Working aims to respond to the child’s natural needs for movement, language and order through the materials, and to facilitate respectful adult-child interaction which Montessori found conducive to character development. This experience will allow your child to acquire and exercise the skills necessary for a positive social life. This playgroup caters to children 2.5-5 years and is held at Evolve Wellness Centre at 10 Kendrick Mews, SW6 3HG. This is a drop-in but sessions are limited to 9 children so to avoid disappointment, please register you interest if you are planning to attend. Children working are also gathering interest for a parent-toddler group to start in October. Please visit www.childrenworking.com for more information.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Chelsea and Westminster’s A&E, Maternity and Paediatrics units are under threat of closure! Please support The Safe in our Hands campaign.

Your help is needed !The NHS Shaping a healthier future public consultation will decide whether Chelsea and Westminster will retain its status as a major hospital.Importantly, if Chelsea and Westminster is no longer a major hospital, it will lose its full A&E service, the Maternity Unit and many life-saving services for children. This would make the hospital non-viable and could even potentially lead to its closure. This would have a major impact on the families and community who rely on the hospital and the future of Chelsea and Westminster lies in gaining their support to demonstrate why closure is not a viable option. Please help the hospital to continue providing its life-saving services by completing the Safe in our Hands online postcard here, you would be helping our community!
Meeting to discuss A&E closures in West London on Tuesday 11 September at 6.30pm in the Small Hall, Kensington Town Hall, Hornton Street. Click here for more information.

Mums and me. We all know how incredible mums are, and we all know how incredibly busy mums are, too. They want what’s best for their family but they may also, every now and again, want to relax and have a little “me” time.

This is why Mumsandme exists. Unlike many other deal sites, Mumsandme is a members-only club designed specifically with mums, and their families, in mind. We offer daily Deals dedicated toward making mums’ lives more enjoyable and doing so at an affordable price. Our network of in-the-know mums are handpicking deals across local and national merchants, so, the deals make sense because they’re recommended for mums, by mums. Don’t forget to sign-up to Mums and Me and forward your MumsTree link to friends to start earning some Mums and Me points.
