It is definitely starting to feel a lot like Christmas. All the Christmas lights are up and all the shops are stocking for your perfect Christmas gifts. Check out what we have been up to and read what’s on this week for your and your little ones this week including essential Make Up Workshop with crèche (as a Mum you still need to keep it glam), the light up of Oxford Street and the latest Christmas Family Film. Have you booked your little one’s visit to see Santa. London Zoo, Westfield White City and Harrods are all taking bookings now. This week we celebrate Kensington Mums second birthday over a dinner on Thursday and again on Friday over a Kensington Mums and Bumps Coffee morning. See our events calendar for more information.

Kensington Mums took part in the Lord Mayor’s Show with Business Launch Pad as part of Nat West business enterprise. What a crowd, and what a day it was! So much fun and rain. You can watch it on BBC iplayer here.

Kensington Mums was invited for an evening of Chelsea’s Cocktails With Claus, at the Duke of York Square. We got a little peak and a treat from Santa himself and what a beautiful grotto. This is free but booking is essential. Click here for more information.
Kensington Mums events and meet ups
Kensington Mums is celebrating their 2nd Birthday over a 3 course seated dinner. Kensington Dads are also welcome. Make this a great night out and meet and mingle with local parents. Just because its Kensington Mums second birthday, we are re-organising another Kensington mums and bumps coffee morning on Friday 15th Nov 2012 (10am-12pm), to meet and mingle with the local Kensington Mums and bumps. Mums and Mums to be are all welcome. The lovely Chini has kindly volunteered to host the morning in her home. Please email us ([email protected]) with heading ‘Nov coffee morning’ to be sent more information and get in touch if you would like to host a morning coffee
Due to popular demand, we have added a new session for our Motherhood Exhibition on Friday 22 November 2013 at Clare Gardens Children Centre from 10-12pm and Friday 29 November 2013 at Violet Melchett Children’s Centre (off Kings Road) There will be a free action, songs and rhyme time class for your little ones to enjoy. What’s on for you and your little ones
Oxford Street Christmas lights turn on. Tuesday 12th November. The event starts at 5pm and at 6.15pm 750,000 LEDs will transform the prime shopping street into a gentle storm of falling snowflakes. Enjoy London by night and make sure to wrap up warm and make this the best after school activity ever!

The South Bank German Christmas Market is now open until 24th Dec. Definitely worth a visit as it really gets you in the holiday spirit with those authentically decorated wooden chalets along the riverside selling a wide range of unique hand-crafted gifts and unusual Christmas presents.
Frozen – The Christmas Family Film! Sunday 1st Dec 2013 . Enjoy a family day out at VUE cinema Leicester Square to watch an exclusive preview of the hugely anticipated new Disney film FROZEN! Children in fancy dress will receive a Christmas gift! This is a fundraising event for the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund, raising money for UK film and TV industry workers and their families who have fallen on hard times. South Kensington Film Festival. 18-24 Nov 2013. This festival has become a key rendezvous for children and families in the UK. Workshops on creating your own e-book, drawing duos and screening of films. Check their website for more information.
