Kensington Mums had the amazing opportunity to try out Wecasa.

What is Wecasa?

Wecasa is a super user-friendly App that allows you, in just a few minutes and some clicks, to have the service you desire in the comfort of your home. Be it a “self-care”, “me time” service ranging from a full massage, make-up, hair services, or cleaning services so you can also have a “self-care” time whilst someone else is cleaning your home. Yes, it can’t get any better than this!

Like their founders rightly said: “making self-care fit seamlessly into any schedule”. and we can second this as this is what every mum needs an App where we can book in our well deserved “me time” when it is convenient for us.

You can easily and quickly download the App and off you go – to start your self-care routine. Booking a service is super easy and it literally takes less than 3 min, that is, if you know what you are going to pamper yourself with. What I found took more time was selecting a service from the extensive menu they offer. Every single treatment/service is thoroughly explained.

It is super quick to select from the categories they have: Hairdressing, Beauty, Massage and Cleaning & Ironing.  Then the App takes you to proceed and select the service you are looking for. You can also multi-select which is great if you want to book in more than one service.

Then you can proceed and select the exact service you want. For example if you are booking a massage you can select to have either a male or female beautician/expert. I think this is very good to have this option from the start.

Then the screens will show how many beauticians/experts are close to you. The App can either select on your behalf or you can choose if you rather select yourself. You can then proceed and see all the beauticians available with their ratings and the reviews each one has.

Once you select your favourite beautician you can then proceed and select the time and day for your appointment. The screen loads up with all the timings available for that specific date you selected and also gives you if there is an additional surcharge in specific out of hours timings.

There is a +10 fee which is only for those hours that are not usual and love that they have this option catering to all busy schedules. Then they suggest activating notifications as they will alert you only for essentials i.e.: confirmation of your appointment, messages from you professional technician, to new a few. Then off to process payment to get your request out.

In less than an hour, I received an email saying that the selected beautician has accepted my treatment and I am confirmed. I also received a notification via the App that I enabled, so I was also informed this way.

The Treatment

I decided to go for the Anti-Ageing Facial Treatment aimed for the 30+ year old ladies that are interested in smoothing the skin, boosting the complexion and mitigating signs of ageing. Exactly what I am looking for, a youthful look as it aims to nourish and stimulate the skin.

It also includes massage techniques to stimulate the facial muscles. Overall this treatment aims to boost cell renewal and reduces the appearance and also prevents wrinkles and fine lines – exactly what I need.

The Day of the Treatment

I received a notification via the App stating if I wanted to make any changes and also 3 key pieces of information before my beauty treatment. 1. Where will the session be – and suggestions to select a comfortable space that is suitable for the beautician and for the client. 2. what the client should prepare in advance like an additional towel as they come equipped with all they need. 3. if the client would like to have an additional service i.e.: 15 min massage as if they have the time they will surely do it.

Melanie came 10 min before the appointment time so she could prepare everything for the treatment. She came with the massaging bed and absolutely everything she needed. She was very professional wearing a mask and covering the bed with a paper towel and asked if I wanted to use her towel or I would rather use my own.

She was also wearing a double mask during the whole treatment. She asked me if I had any allergies or if there is anything she needed to be aware of. I really value this as I do have sensitive skin and so this was important for me to have someone that is following care protocols.

Melanie used her phone to play relaxing music that enhanced the whole experience and made it even more relaxing. This is actually the first time ever as previously the treatments I have had at home beauticians never played any music at all.

By now I am completely relaxed lying down and enjoying this amazing well deserved “me time” as my son was at nursery and it was simply blissful to have this 1 hour for me with no interruptions and be able to disconnect completely.

Melanie started with cleaning the face whilst she thoroughly explained everything she was applying to my face and doing and also gave details of the active ingredients in each of the creams, serums and products she used. She even went ahead and also used a steaming machine so she could deep clean my face. I really appreciate that she was constantly communicating with me and informing me of everything she was doing so I was aware of what was the next step.

My face, right after, felt so nice and bright. It was an incredibly nice experience. I highly recommend this and best is that I was home so I didn’t need to go out in the city and pollute my recently cleansed and nourished face. I stayed home enjoying how the products were absorbed by my face that needed this facial badly as it was dehydrated.

Overall, from the downloading of the App until the end of the treatment I have to say that everything was very smooth and impeccable. I really enjoyed the whole experience and you should go ahead and pamper yourself as we say we can’t pour from an empty cup – you need to take care of yourself to continue caring for others.
