Little House of Science – May Half-Term Science Camp
Calling all aspiring scientists, archaeologists, engineers, chemists and inventors – sign up to Little House of Science’s May Half Term Science Camp.  The Science of Ancient Civilisations – May 30th to June 2nd.
Embark on an adventure of discovery and fun at Little House of Science’s specially designed science camps for children aged 4-12.
Designed to inspire and encourage a love of science, these camps will help children deepen and grow in their knowledge of the scientific world whether learning about The inventions of ancient China, The discoveries of ancient Greece, Secrets of ancient Egypt and Aztecs, Mayans and Incas. Â It is a week of fun, interactive learning for everyone.
As well as making new friends and re-connecting with friends from previous years, Children will be able to learn in an interactive and fun way with our highly trained scientists.

Independent Thinkers’ Zoom 11+/ 13+ Classic Fiction Reading Group: Free Taster Session
During the May/ June half-term, Independent Thinkers Education is running a classic fiction reading group for children in Years 4 and 5.
We are offering a free taster session in advance of half-term on Wednesday 10th May, 5.30 pm-6.30 pm. Participants will discuss the opening chapters of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations.
The session is led by Tessa, a first-class Cambridge graduate, with a Cambridge Ph.D. on Shakespeare. Tessa has over ten years’ teaching and tutoring experience, successfully supporting children in their 11+/ 13+ examinations and beyond.

English National Ballet return to the Royal Albert Hall for the first time since 2019, with 14 performances of Cinderella in-the-round, featuring over 90 dancers, a live orchestra, magnificent sets and projections.
This sparkling ballet will transport you to an enchanting kingdom where Cinderella’s wit and generosity get her to the ball – with the help of a little bit of magic.
Christopher Wheeldon’s glittering choreography sees the arena floor flooded with exquisite dancers, while Prokofiev’s sublime score is performed by the English National Ballet Philharmonic.
The Curious Adventures of Pinocchio at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre
Who nose? He might even find his father and become a real boy.
Playing this May half term from Tuesday 30 May to Saturday 03 June at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre, Lyngo Theatre have adapted this epic tale into a unique retelling where the story leaps off the page and onto the stage.
Crickets, cats, foxes and, of course, the world-famous puppet, will spring out of our collection of dusty old magic books while CBeebies presenter Patrick Lynch pulls all the strings and turns all the pages to bring you the true story of Pinocchio, no lie. Best suited for ages 4+.
