Half term is nearly upon us. In this week’s special half term scoop we have picked up the latest and craziest things to see and do for you and your little ones. We have also been working super hard in bringing you new and fun mumthly events and meet ups including a Pamper evening (because we all deserve some well deserved me-time) as well as Lingerie Lessons, Education talks just to name a few. Summer Sparks Family Day and Kensington Mums Nearly New Sale. Saturday 7th of June. We have teamed up with the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation to give you a family fun day as well as the chance to sell your pre-loved baby/toddler and maternity clothes and help raise money for a local charity.  Activities will include face painting by Les Enfants, balloon modelling by Balloonatic arts and crafts, smoothie making and much more. Children entertainment will be provided by Sharky and George and fun fitness classes by Amanda Action Club.  For more information and to book your table, please click here.

What’s on this May bank holiday for you and your little ones

Shark Week at London Aquarium. 19-31 May 2014. A mix of interactive talks, fun family activities and a big, blue, cuddly shark will tell you all you need to know about sharks at the SEA LIFE London Aquarium this May. For the Fashionista Kensington Mum. Prasdasphere at Harrods. Until 29th May. In celebration of two iconic brands, Harrods presents Pradasphere, an exuberant exhibition that traces the diverse passions of Miuccia Prada, from fashion and accessories to art, architecture, cinema and beyond.

Visit the Family Station this half term at the London Transport Museum. Kids go FREE! This is one of our favourite Museum in the heart of Covent Garden and is a great place for your family to have fun together and discover the history of London’s famous transport network. Stretch – n – grow: Movement Sessions for Toddlers. Wednesday 21 May 2014 from 11am to 11.30am. Brompton library. Bring your little ones along to these gentle ‘Wobblers’ exercise sessions from Stretch-n-Grow. The children will have the chance to do some fun exercises and movements. FREE. Suitable for ages 18months +.

Mudchute Farm is a great place to visit. Take the boat from Westminster to Canary Wharf then hop onto the DLR which is a short walking distance to Mudchute Farm. Kids will enjoy pony rides, donkey rides as well as animal handling and feeding. Check their website for more information.

Digital Kids – May Half Term at Victoria and Albert Museum. South Kensington.

Needless to say, our local parks are a great for a family day out, where kids can run around and have fun. A picnic can be easily organised with friends and family. Local parks to choose from our Holland Park, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Kensington Memorial Park, St Luke´s Gardens.

Mums of Little Ones Nearly New Sale. Friday 13 June 2014 10am-12pm. Holy Trinity Brompton, SW7 1JA. You are invited to The Annual Mums of Little Ones Nearly New Sale! It’ll be a fantastic morning of kids activities, al fresco café, raffle prizes, loads of bargains, and much more! We are proud to partner with HOPE HIV who support kids who have been given the toughest of tough starts in Africa. All proceeds will go towards building a preschool in Malawi that will serve little ones orphaned or affected by HIV. Have donations? We would love kids clothes (age 0-5), toys, maternity wear, and gently used baby equipment! Are you a mumpreneur? An exciting family festival all about the city we live in and looking again at its fascinating composition. Museum of London. 24-25 May 2014. Suitable for ages 2-11 years. The Elephantom. 30 June – 6 September. Tickets £13-£20. Suitable for everyone 3 years and over. Fresh from an acclaimed sold-out season at the National Theatre, Ross Collins’ much-loved The Elephantom, will be charging into the New London Theatre for a strictly limited summer season. Magical entertainment for young and old, The Elephantom is a wonderfully inventive mix of puppetry, movement, dance, music – and theatrical ingenuity. At first, the little girl is thrilled to have a ghost-elephant living in her house, but Elephantoms are too big for houses and before long, he’s causing a lot of trouble. The story of one little girl and her larger-than-life friend is set to get very messy indeed! Check their website for more information.

Animal Encounters at the Wetland Centre. From 24th May 2014 to 1st of June 2014. We loved this place and would definitely go there again. You can also bring your own picnic on a nice weather and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Very baby and child friendly. Don’t miss feed the otters and bird feeding sessions. After a sell-out tour last Autumn, Ga Ga Theatre will be touring it’s highly acclaimed production ‘Up and Down’ (adapted from the book by award-winning children’s author Oliver Jeffers) to Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, Phoenix in East Finchley, Richmond Curzon and Chelsea Curzon from 20th May to 8th June. ‘Up and Down’ is a show for babies and children up to 5 years (with all ages welcome) with catchy original music, fun props and creative lighting to keep all members of the family absorbed.One of the key aims of Ga Ga Theatre is to make a theatre experience as stress-free as possible, both in terms of local venues and making parents/carers feel relaxed by creating a truly enriching and engaging performance for all the family. Check their website for booking.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show. See this year’s amazing gardens. Chelsea is dazzling the crowds again with a spectacular line-up of Show, Artisan and Fresh Gardens. Unitl 24th May 2014.
