Over the Easter holidays, Kensington Mums was invited to the Wetland Centre. This place has got so much beauty and is such a well preserved wetland conservation. Kids explored what nature brings us and learnt about all the animal around from feeding the otters to pond dipping and letting off steam in their adventure playground.


Kensington Mums was invited to Kew Gardens for a faun family day out for the Charlie at Kew. There was lots of activities including an egg hunt, face painting and chocolate making.

Summer Sparks Family Day and Kensington Mums Nearly New Sale. Saturday 7th of June. We have teamed up with the Kensington and Chelsea Foundation to give you a family fun day as well as the chance to sell your pre-loved baby/toddler and maternity clothes and help raise money for a local charity.  Activities will include face painting by Les Enfants, balloon modelling by Balloonatic arts and crafts, smoothie making and much more. What’s on for you and your little ones

This weekend, why not pay a visit to Imperial Festival, a fascinating, family-friendly event, which is free and open to all.Taking place at Imperial’s South Kensington Campus, there will be a huge range of activities and demonstrations for children, teenagers and parents.Take part in hands-on science demonstrations and be entertained by dancing robots, a bubble-breathing mechanical dragon and enjoy music, dance and comedy.Harry Potter fans will relish the chance to explore the Festival’s Light Zone where Imperial physicists will take you on an exploration of the science of light with their invisibility cloak and other optical illusions. The British Designers Sale is hosting a Charity Preview Night exclusively for supporters of the Kensington & Chelsea Foundation. Tuesday 13 May, 4-8pm at the Chelsea Town Hall, Kings Road, London, SW3 2EE. This special evening will feature more than 40 top name designers between 50-80% off retail price. Tickets are £10 and are normally reserved for BDS members.  All funds raised will support the Foundation’s work with local charities. The Kids’ Sleepover at Kensington Palace. Friday 16 May, 18.00 – overnight. Discover what happens in a royal palace after the doors are locked! The palace is throwing open its doors for a very special kids’ slumber party. Princes, princesses, knights and even spies are all welcome at the Georgian mask and music ball. After an evening of mask-making and dancing it will be time for bedding down in one of the spectacular palace rooms. Then rise and shine the next morning for a breakfast fit for royalty. Recommended for children aged 7-11 years – parents and guardians must be accompanied by a child! Tickets £60, breakfast included. Pop up Playgrounds at Victoria and Albert Museum. Sunday 11 May 2014, 10:30-5pm. FREE Families imagine what it would be like if the V&A was their playground and they could play on all the fabulous furniture, objects and sculptures. Families design and make pop-up playgrounds displaying all the objects they would like to slide down, bounce on, climb up or play on. Click here for more information.
