Imperial’s Festival of Science

The 2017 Imperial Festival will be held on 6-7 May 2017 and will make an amazing family day out in Kensington.

Join researchers, students, support staff and alumni for a weekend of science at the Imperial Festival in South Kensington. The Festival – first held in 2012 – welcomed over 15,000 visitors last year and 2017 promises to be the biggest and best yet.

Where is it?

The Festival takes place at Imperial’s South Kensington Campus which is situated in London’s museum quarter. It is easy to reach by public transport, several bus routes stop nearby and is only a short walk from South Kensington underground station.

Food and Drinks

Visitors to the Festival will be able to feed their body as well as their mind, with food stalls and the College barbeque rustles up something for all tastes, from paella to pasta, and soup to sundaes.

Program and activities

There will be a variety of hands on workshops, exhibitions, performances, tours and talks. Here are our favourite things happening at the Festival.

  • First love: how do early parent-infant interactions shape our future?
