Turn your Blue Monday into a Positive One
Blue Monday is the name given to the third Monday of January and said to be the most depressing day of the year.
Well why don’t we challenge that and make it a positive day where we think about what we are grateful for. If this pandemic has taught us anything it is to count our blessings and that gratitude makes everything enough so here are 5 top tips to beat the Monday blues.
- GOOD HEALTH
Good health is what every wants and what some people take for granted until it is taken from them, so lets be grateful for our good health and working body after all our health is our wealth.
2. GOOD FRIENDS
Kensington Mums was first formed to connect a network of mums online and in around Kensington, creating new friends were found and friendships formed. We know how important our mama tribe is even when we cant see them face to face, we can always connect with them online. After all it takes a village to be a mama.
3. PARENTS
If we are lucky enough to have our parents here we are truly grateful for these people that gave us life.
4. EDUCATION
Another aspect to be grateful for is having education, and the teachers of our children. Now that we have had times of home schooling our own children and realising how important school is we are so grateful for this.
5. HOME
Our home is currently protecting us and we have the pleasure of a roof over our heads however big or small. Remember, we are not stuck at home, we are safe at home. Counting our blessings can ground us and make us realise what we have instead of what we don’t have
Be grateful for small, things, big things and everything in between.Â
There is life after lockdown and now more than ever self care is important. Take care of your mental health and remember this too shall pass and we are all in it together.
