Amazing GIANT brick-animal trail. This autumn the world’s most popular toy will bring families closer to nature at London Wetland Centre. The giant LEGO® brick-animal trail will be here for five weeks from 3 October to 8 November, with the sculptures sitting among some of their real-life cousins. Visitors will be able to enjoy the trail of nine individually-designed 1.5m LEGO brick animals, some inspired by real species at London Wetland Centre.  There is no extra cost to meet the giant LEGO brick animals at London Wetland Centre, the trail is included in the admission price. As well as following the trail visitors can book workshops for an hour of creative fun and games.  Build your own LEGO brick pumpkin to take home and create as many ducklings as you can in 10 minutes. This October, Little Voices Fulham will be running a Disney themed ‘Frozen Tangled Up’ inspired performing arts week for boys and girls aged 4 – 16 Years. blue{shift} is based in West London and teaches primary school aged children through classes and workshops. They create their own teaching materials utilising a number of different programming environments, languages and approaches. Young filmmakers aged 7-14 years are invited to choose their side as they join us for our three day Aliens vs. Zombies filmmaking workshop over the October half term in Chelsea. Have tons of fun making special effects, with just the right amount of extra terrestrial ooze or zombie gruesome wounds. There will be plenty to do as filmmakers experience all aspects of filmmaking including crewing, acting and directing. Filmmakers will receive a DVD of their completed film to enjoy at home. Alice in Wonderland Family Theatre Workshop. FREE workshop. Tuesday 27th of October from 2.30-3.45pm at The Wharf Rooms, Imperial Road SW6 2GA. Suitable for 6-11yrs and their parents/carers. Come and take part in this fun creative theatre workshop for children (aged 6-11) and their parents and carers. We will be exploring the characters from Alice in Wonderland and creating a short performance piece to share at the end of the workshop. The popular annual fireworks displays to mark Bonfire Night locally will be held in both Hammersmith and Fulham. More than 20,000 people are expected to attend H&F Council’s annual fireworks shows at Bishops Park and Ravenscourt Park, on Friday 6 November and Saturday 7 November respectively. Book in advance and get 25% off, meaning tickets are £6 each. Little Lab of Horrors at the Science Museum. FREE. Halloween pumpkin carving competition on Saturday 31 October from 5pm at the Duke of York Square. Enjoy the spooky spectacle of expertly carved pumpkins this Halloween. Come and see the pumpkin parade at Manicomio and vote for your winner.  Created in a hotly contested competition by the Manicomio chefs at Duke of York Square, these amazingly carved pumpkins will be judged by a panel and the visiting public.  And what’s more, if you vote for the winning pumpkin your name will be entered into the hat to win a bottle of bubbly. Discovery Day at the Isis Education Centre. FREE. Thursday 29th October 2015. Drop in to the Isis Education Centre in the heart of Hyde Park for a day of Halloween themed activities.  The gates will be open from 11am so you can simply walk-in and enjoy the gardens and activities until they close at 3pm. Activities include: daring to explore our ‘feely boxes’, arts and crafts including making your very own bat mask to take home, learning about hibernating hedgehogs and much more. Dressing up is definitely encouraged so why not get into the spirit and come dressed as a ghoulish ghost or wicked witch.
