Half-term Hackathon

February Half-Term Scoop 2023

Join us on the 13th – 17th February for a coding and robotics camp like no other. We’ll be taking your child’s coding skills to the next level through teamwork and collaboration! This BlueShift camp will introduce students to the world of Hackathons: a short-term collaborative event where groups of creators make projects as a team and build upon each other’s skills.

Based in Notting Hill, we have four available courses this February to keep your little ones entertained and educated throughout the half-term. Our courses during the week will focus on a series of team-based projects where students will learn key coding concepts and use them to create a solution to a problem. Students will develop their programming skills and learn to bring their imaginations to life through code!

Head to our website to secure your space, and don’t forget our early bird prices end on 30th January – so hurry to save some money!

Would your child love to star in Matilda Jr on stage this Summer?

February Half-Term Scoop 2023

PSSA (Pop School & Stage Academy) are enrolling now and looking for local children aged 4-16 to join the cast of Matilda Jr.

After celebrating the success of their student Poppy starring in the Matilda film in cinemas now, PSSA can’t wait to bring this iconic musical to the stage. Their weekly classes held at Fulham Boys School, Westside Academy in Hammersmith and St Anne’s in Wandsworth incorporate Dancing, Singing, Acting, Musical Theatre and LAMDA tuition. Classes are led by passionate industry professionals and lead to performance opportunities on stage and screen, and the chance to join their affiliated talent agency.

This half term students will be joined by a special guest from the West End cast of Matilda to learn choreography direct from the show, get tips and prepare for their upcoming auditions. Auditions will then take place in February before classes focus on the upcoming production. Professionally staged performances take place at the prestigious Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation Theatre at Arts Educational in June 2023.

Check out our schools in Fulham, Hammersmith, and Wandsworth.

Could you help a child like Olivia learn to read?

February Half-Term Scoop 2023

Coram Beanstalk sees a future where every child is a reader.

Coram Beanstalk is a national children’s reading charity with 50 years’ experience in supporting children to become confident, independent readers. We know, and evidence shows, that when children not only can read but choose to read they achieve more academically and benefit from improved well-being and go on to greater success in life

Coram Beanstalk reading helpers provide consistent, one-to-one, support to children in primary schools. They are trained to do far more than ‘listen to children read’, they help children who are falling behind and may be missing the wider support they need to catch up… to switch onto reading, learn to read and become readers. They introduce children to brilliant books to help each child find and explore their own identity as a reader.
