Located on a wide stretch of the River Thames in the Chiltern hills, The Swan at Streatley is a converted 17th century inn with a terrace right at the water’s edge. Family Bedrooms with a view

We had a large family double room with river views. and every aspect of the room was just as enjoyable as the looks. The rooms are all beautifully appointed with every touch of comfort you could wish for. The kids absolutely loved the little room overlooking the River Thames, it was their corner to play and read their books quietly in the corner. This was my favourite, waking up to serene and picturesque views. Just what I needed for a little bit of self care and family time.

The shower room was simple to use and hot water was just amazing in the cold winter nights. There was complimentary shampoo and conditioner in the room which smelled divine. Some rooms have baths as well as showers, if this is important to you, please let staff know when you book.

Restaurants and Bar

The location of the restaurant just over the River Thames is breathtaking, no matter by day or by night. The Swan is a converted 17th century inn with a terrace right at the water’s edge. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner during our family staycation at The Swan at Streatley. The menu at Coppa Club ticks all boxes, including those for kids and families. At Coppa Club, they welcome you at any time of the day and have an all day menu, drinks menu, take away menu as well as a festive specials menu in time for Christmas around the corner.

Activities at the Swan at Streatley

We enjoyed lots of walking around the River Thames in the Chiltern hills, with lovely views and we even got to see Swans around. The kids liked sitting around the Summer house, while us parents enjoyed cosy nights in the library around the fire. The Hotel has other rooms including the Terrace, bar and snug. I was also invited to enjoy an indoor yoga class in the morning, a great way to move your body. You can also go paddle-boarding, hire a boat and go for a picnic weather permitting.
