The Self Guided Canoe Adventure from Richmond
We booked for a self guided adventure for a family of four. It is a great way of getting into outside spaces and to explore a little closer to home.
We packed up a little picnic and took a towel with you just in case the kids decided to jump in for a swim. The location was sent to us via email after filling out a few questions. It was easy to find. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendly staff. We recommend you wear, easy sports wear, or even shorts and t-shirt with swimsuits underneath in case you decide to go for a swim.
You will be supplied with buoyancy aids, which must be worn on all of the Back and Beyond activities, beautifully stable open canoes, paddles and a dry bag for your special needs. A guide provided us a briefing on land before our journey into the Back of Beyond…. You can paddle between the iconic Richmond Bridge and Teddington Lock. We took all the time to explore the islands and riverside jungle.
