The company Gunda Hafner Ltd, founded in 2016, uses Gunda’s upbringing in the Austrian countryside as inspiration, looking for innovative yet eco-conscious techniques to incorporate into every collection. We use natural fibres in order to minimise the consequences of synthetics and to eliminate the use of plastics. We place sustainability at the heart of everything we do.
At the studio, our small team helps to ensure pieces are unique and our local production is manufacturing to an exceptional standard. We would like to prove that being sustainable does not mean compromising a busy modern lifestyle. The GH SS21 collection is our most innovative yet. It aims to disrupt fashion’s outdated habits. By researching eco-conscious materials and only using ethical suppliers, we are doing our bit. “On the Rocks” showcases the unique, sustainable alternatives to harmful fabrics. We harnessed the eco-conscious properties of hemp, recycled cotton, linen, merino wool, banana fibre and even upcycled fabrics.
Our wildlife, environment and planet are on the rocks and will only survive if individuals step up and take action.
