It’s almost Easter and the Easter weekend is around the corner, along with the school holidays.  Here is your Easter scoop with some free and fun – filled activities to keep you and your little ones entertained. We have picking our favourite places to do and have left no stone unturned that will tick all boxes for the whole family to enjoy. All you need to do is PLAN!

Kensington Mums events

Our first Mumthly talk will be held at Whole Foods Kensington on Friday 11th April 2014 from 7pm- 9pm.  The topic will be ‘The Secret of letting go of guilt’. If you bring a friend, you get in for free! What’s on this Easter for you and your little ones

Enjoy an irresistibly magical storytelling experience this Easter as the Little Angel Theatre bring their production of Sleeping Beauty In The Wood to the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room. Using puppetry, imaginative video projections, automata and live music this bold production conjures a dreamlike fantasy of palaces and forests, ogres and fairies, princes and babes. Suitable for children over 3 years. Discovery Day at the Isis Education Centre, Hyde Park. Thursday 17th April 2014. Join the Royal Parks Foundation in the Spring garden as they find out all about the eggs and babies that are all around us at this time of year. Click here for more information.

This Easter Chelsea Physic Garden will be flourishing with spring delights and there are a variety of family activities on offer.  In ‘Mandrakes, minibeasts, medicines & microscopes’ (8 Apr), discover the hidden secrets of the Garden and meet some fascinating creatures. Celebrate the world of bees, through poetry and art in ‘Celebrating Bees: Poems of the five senses’ (10 Apr). Discover the incredible variety of eggs and seeds from around the world in ‘Celebrate Spectacular Seeds & Examine Exceptional Eggs’ (17 Apr) or explore poisonous and insect-eating plants in the Garden at ‘Garden Safari & Microscopic Marvels’ (16 Apr).    Click here for more information.

Easter Family Fun Saturday 12 April – Monday 21 April at the London Transport Museum. Kids will enjoy the storytime, make and take hands on workshop just to name a few. Click here for more information.

This school holiday let the kids drive themselves up the wall! From 14th – 25th April, The Westway Sports Centre will be running Easter Climbing, Football and Tennis Programmes, along with Fives and Wallball sessions; all for ages 4+. There are activities to suit all ages and skill levels, as well as adult activities for mums and dads who don’t want to miss out on the action. Alternatively, parents and carers in need of a break can relax in our Crussh café. Children’s theatre at the Royal CourtPrimetime is a series of brilliantly imaginative new short plays written by primary school children aged 8 to 11. Pack your bags and hold on tight as you’re whisked away on a whirlwind of crazy adventures. And get ready to meet a host of captivating characters, including a talking sausage roll, a troop of cocktail-loving monkeys and a long-nosed hippo called Gary (of course), who will win you over with their charm whether you’re 8 or 80. Enjoy a family day out at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This is completely FREE. Whether it’s a walk through the parklands looking at the spectacular sites of the London 2012 venues or burning off steam at the Tumbling Bay playground – there really is something for everyone to enjoy.
