Local community invited to take part in Portobello Market Christmas
Portobello and Golborne Road Market is inviting members of the local community to get involved in special Sunday markets running over the Christmas period.
Stallholders and performers are encouraged to bring the festive cheer to Portobello this year. Trading slots are up for grabs for small business owners or those with a side hustle to apply to have the chance to trade at one of the world’s most famous markets. Products should be suitable for shoppers looking for gifts or have a festive twist.
And to add to the Christmas spirit…
To add to the spirit of the season, the Market is also looking to feature local performers including musicians, choirs, and dancers to showcase their talent throughout each Sunday market, whether you are part of a local group or are a solo artist.
Cllr Catherine Faulks, Lead Member for Economy, Employment and Innovation said:
“Portobello and Golborne Market is not only a top visitor destination, it’s also at the heart of our community, so it’s quite right to invite locals to be a part of these special festive events.
“The variety and talent of the entrepreneurs and creatives in this borough is exceptional, so I have no doubt that their contribution to the market this Christmas will make it especially vibrant and unique.”Â
Local residents and those who work or study in the borough will get priority to be considered for both trading and performing slots. Experienced professionals, established business owners, and keen amateurs and entrepreneurs are all welcome to apply!
