About Cocotte

With restaurants in Notting Hill, Shoreditch, Parsons Green, Queen’s Park and now, South Kensington, Cocotte is a friendly neighbourhood group with the ambition to serve Londoners the very best rotisserie chicken. Chef-trained Founder Romain Bourrillon and his team go to great lengths to source the highest quality French ingredients from smaller traditional farms, and use Michelin-quality techniques to deliver perfectly cooked, aromatic dishes, which are packed with flavour.
The menu focuses on the rotisserie chicken as the star of the show, and namesake. Cocotte’s high-quality free-range chickens are sourced from a farm in Evron (Pays de la Loire, France) and are cooked using expert techniques honed by Romain during his time in Belgium’s Michelin-starred restaurants. A combination of Herbes de Provence, a secret spice mix, slow roasting and – the finale – a spin on the traditional rotisserie spit, result in beautifully moist and aromatic chicken, which can be enjoyed whole (£22), halved (£12) or quartered (£8).

Unashamedly French-influenced, the menu at Cocotte features dishes such as Foie Gras and mushroom croquettes alongside cheese and charcuterie boards serving exceptional produce fromFrance; as well as vibrant sides, crunchy salads and show-stopping sauces – such as truffled mac ‘n’ cheese, a lentil & broccolini salad and a lauded green sauce. Everything served at Cocotte is made on site from scratch, using fresh, farm-grown ingredients, from the sauces, to salads and marinades.

Wines come from a carefully curated list, alongside a short menu of exciting seasonal cocktails, designed with food matching in mind. Cocotte also offers weekend brunches from 10am-4pm, including croissant waffles with sweet chili chicken thigh and a fried egg; oeufs parfait (perfect eggs) and truffled mushrooms, served in a rosemary Parmesan cream with toasted sourdough for dunking; cinnamon French toast with a caramelised rum banana, red berry coulis and vanilla Crème Chantilly; and Croque Monsieur, made with Cocotte’s beloved truffle mac ‘n’ cheese sauce. Freshly squeezed juices, full of vibrant fruit and vegetables, and exciting brunch cocktails, including bottomless prosecco (for just £20), are also available.

Kensington Mums reviews

Our time in Cocotte was fantastic! We were 2 adults and 4 children with various ages from 9-15 years old and there was something for everyone. We had a selection of the cheeky lunch menu  which included a whole chicken with delicious sides of cocotte Caesar salad, kale and roaster pepper, green veggie and basil, green salad with walnut and tomato and feta. Their classic were our favourite, with roaster roost veg, baby potatoes and ratatouille.

Burgers are a must-try: choose between the Crispy Chicken Burger and the Truffle Chicken Burger and add fries for an additional £2.
