Eaton Square

Stepping into Eaton Square Senior School, one feels the nostalgia of this beautiful building in its prime Mayfair location.

It is not difficult to imagine Evelyn Waugh or Ian Fleming penning one of their novels in any of the Grade 1 listed grandiose rooms. Indeed, it is the perfect environment to inspire creativity and a lifelong love of learning, providing our teachers and students with a base to use London, with its museums, galleries and theatres within walking distance, as our canvas.

Eaton Square Senior School is an independent co-educational senior school on Piccadilly in Central London. Green Park is on our doorstep and is used daily for lunchtime breaks, curricular and extracurricular activities.

Eaton SquareThe school building itself is a beautiful grade I-listed townhouse with specialist classrooms for art, science and drama and a purpose-built canteen with onsite catering. The building was once home to Lord Coventry and later the St. James’s Club, one of the most famous members being Ian Fleming who resided there throughout the duration of the war. It’s a truly inspirational place to be, particularly for students who are interested in neoclassical art and history.

Near to Green Park tube station, our access to world-class museums and galleries is incomparable, the Royal Academy is just up the road from us. Unlike other schools, trips do not cost a day’s worth of learning, a cultural and informative visit is easily achievable in a morning or an afternoon.

In the past we have had trips to the British Museum, the National Gallery, as well as the Natural History Museum and a cruise along the river Thames, to name a few! With many more planned for the duration of the academic year. Most national galleries and museums host several exhibitions a year, so there really is an abundance of choice and a lot for our students to experience.

Eaton SquareWe ensure students get the most out of experiential learning on trips by asking the right questions to guide reflective conversations. We set our students up to think for themselves by teaching them how to consume, question and analyse their surroundings. These are skillsets that can be used in any situation in their lives going forward.

We have dedicated and passionate teachers who encourage experiential learning and the use of the unique opportunities London has to offer.
