Mother’s Day is coming and with it the flurry of homemade cards, presents and planning of treats and eats, all with the intention of giving that special lady the ‘day off’!
To help with the celebrations and making the preparation part just as fun, local cooking school Leiths have created their new Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Take-Away class on the 26th of March where adults (be it friends, parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles) and children can cook a classic selection of Afternoon Tea treats together.
In their state of the art kitchens, the Leiths professional teachers will demonstrate techniques that will come in handy when getting stuck into recipes for jam doughnuts, scones with homemade raspberry jam, and pecorino and fennel seed sausage rolls. All of which are carefully boxed up at the end of the day ready for a spoiling Mother’s Day spread that afternoon or for Mothering Sunday.
