With the Nations minds focussed on health and fitness we’ve got some exciting news for London parents!
Swimming Nature, London’s best swimming provider are launching four new sites where children aged 3 plus can learn to swim. The new pools all kick off from Monday 13th September with some of the country’s best swimming coaches, all trained in the Swimming Nature method.
With swimming gaining in popularity both from a health perspective and a safety angle, London parents have been returning to swimming lessons with confidence. Restrictions are now lifted and with the added protection of chlorine, perfectly safe for children to attend.
The classes are all child-centred and they provide inspirational instructors who are in the pool gently coaching your child towards accurate stroke development, improved coordination and muscle formation.
If you want your child to be a strong and competent swimmer then Swimming Nature courses provide that with a step by step developmental programme taking them through the 7 levels and learning new skills every week. They’ll have a 2:1 class with their tutor each week at your preferred booked time after school. If you are currently planning your child’s after school activities, their booking system makes everything simple and allows you to work out your child’s skill level in the pool and go on to book your preferred day and time of lesson. This is great for parents with siblings who want to fit the lessons in at the same time.
Swimming Nature’s passionate teachers enjoy sharing the love of swimming with our community, and encouraging little swimmers to grow and learn through the magic of movement in the water world. Children gain an immense sense of improvement in their coordination and the water makes everything fun as we lead them through the innovative programme focussed on swimming and nature of the water animals on our planet.
Eduardo Ferré, who founded Swimming Nature over 25 years ago, says: “Learning to swim was very important to me as I have seen first-hand the danger of not knowing how to swim. Growing up in Greece, I spent all my summers by the sea. I was lucky enough to have a brother who was a lifeguard and taught me how to swim from an early age but unfortunately, that was not the case with all children who came to the beach. One day the waves were particularly strong and a child was caught in them and could not swim. It all happened quickly but I remember my brother rushing in and grabbing the child. He survived but it was a horrific moment that left an impression on me for life. It definitely frightened me and I could not go into the water for a while. But I did not want to pass on fear to my children. I wanted them to build the skills and confidence to feel safe in playing in the waters. There are so many beautiful beaches in Greece and I wanted my children to have the confidence to enjoy them and that’s why our swimming lessons with Swimming Nature are so important.”
