- Please introduce yourself: Name, what do you do & how many children you have.
My name is Kripa, also known as 15min Mom on social media where I blog about healthy eating and develop quick & easy 15min recipes for food brands & food companies. I have 3 children aged 9,7 & 3 that are my motivation for cooking from scratch & cooking fast!
- How do you manage to juggle work and life balance as a mother?
Planning & Scheduling really helps, even if i fail to follow through most of the times because children take priority, it gives me a guideline and listing tasks helps me remember what needs completing. I do have to work outside parenting times but because i’m not an early bird, I end up working late into the night.
- What top tips would you give to any working mum?
I definitely recommend producing daily task lists and weekly task lists that are realistic to follow leaving gaps for unexpected & unforeseen events, especially with children. I also believe in single tasking as opposed to multitasking. It has been proved that completing 1 task at a time with maximum input is far more productive than half-completing various tasks and probably leaving them unfinished for long periods of time.
- What do you love most about London? Do you have a favourite spot with your children?
I love the cultural & cosmopolitan flavours of London. The diversity, the international habitants and the hustle bustle of the city. Theatres, museums, art galleries, exhibitions, shows, concerts.. there is always so much happening. I love all those cultural opportunities both for adults & children.
- How do you define quality ‘me-time’?
Quality me-time is time to reflect, to have mindspace, to be able to organise ideas without noisy children or distractions. Me-time is doing anything that makes ME selfishly feel good, whether that’s a massage, a training session, a coffee with a friend or just window shopping without an agenda.
- What is your favourite & least favourite thing about parenthood?
I’ve always been passionate about children, I used to teach for over 10years during University times. Parenting is in my DNA so there’s very little I dislike about it. If i were to choose my favourite thing, it would have to be the cuddles & kisses i get from my brood & my least favourite is yet to come, when they’ll grow up faster than i can count and will effectively stop giving me those cuddles & kisses.
- Tell us something people don’t know about you.
I’m a perfectionist and over critical about myself. I’m OCD and tidy up to combat boredom. I find organising things either in the household or events with family & friends, quite therapeutic and satisfying. I’m an organiser.
- Given we are all about embracing Motherhood, what advice would you give a first time Mum?
Don’t be hard on yourself. Motherhood doesn’t come with a manual but it absolutely should because it’s not easy. If there were to be a manual, it would probably not be suited to you because we are all different, children are different & our ways & reactions are all different. You will always do the best you can for your children so don’t doubt yourself & stick to your gut instincts.
9. I’m a mum and……
I couldn’t feel more blessed.

I love how Kensington Mums brings a whole community of people together, whether they are professionals in fields that benefit parents or they are simply parents.
