The UK’s ultimate Christmas destination returns for another fun filled year

You know Christmas is around the corner when you see Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. It is returning for its 11th year this winter as the UK’s number one Christmas destination and runs for 6 weeks from Friday 17th November 2017 – Monday 1st January 2018. Across the years, the event has become a must-do attraction for Londoners, visitors and tourists alike and will host an array of new attractions and entertainment, as well as the return of many visitor favourites.

Brand new for this year, The Magical Ice Kingdom presents Deep Sea Adventure. Exclusive to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, The Magical Ice Kingdom is the largest indoor ice and snow sculpture experience in Europe. This year’s new theme Deep Sea Adventure takes visitors on a journey through a spectacular frozen world of mermaids, gods and sea creatures; a must-see attraction for all ages.

As well as The Magical Ice Kingdom Deep Sea Adventure, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland will host many new and returning attractions including the UK’s largest outdoor Ice Rink, Zippos Christmas Circus, Cirque Berserk, Cinderella on Ice, The Giant Observation Wheel, The Sooty Christmas Show, Bar Ice, over 150 chalets in the Angels Christmas Market, the world’s largest transportable rollercoaster Munich Looping, alongside food and drink throughout. New for 2017/18, The Imperial Ice Stars present Cinderella on Ice. A new interpretation of a classic tale, Cinderella on Ice will feature world class ice skating in the Winter Palace Theatre. The captivating show combines powerful storytelling with elegant choreography to bring a modern twist to this treasured fairy tale favourite. Taking to the ice will be 18 World, European and National Championship level skaters who will perform high-speed throws, incredible lifts and jump sequences to entertain all.

No festive day out would be complete without Father Christmas. Santa Land is an enchanting experience for young visitors and gives families the chance to meet Santa and his elves, as well as explore the inside of his toy workshop. Father Christmas is free to visit and will be at Santa Land with a sack of free gifts every day until 6pm.

A final favourite with visitors, the Bavarian Village provides the perfect setting to relax in the covered seating area, where guests can enjoy a hot drink and delicious snack whilst soaking up the festive atmosphere.
