With our past and popular Kensington Mums Motherhood Exhibition we believe we all have a different meaning of what ‘motherhood’ represents. We were delighted when we received and email from Blogzine Selfish Mother to let us know they launched the MOTHER collection to help raise money for women affected by war.
Featuring 3 tees (black, blue, grey) and 3 sweatshirts (black, moss, grey), the mini-collection features a distinctive MOTHER print and all items are created using Organic Cotton at Fairwear Certified factories (meaning no unfair labour). We have just ordered ours!
Molly Gunn, fashion journalist and editor of Selfish Mother launched the range to show solidarity for the global sisterhood. She says: “Us mothers in the Western world have got it damn good compared to other women around the world, who are trying to bring up kids in poor conditions, without adequate shelter, food, money or support! We have the power to help other women and mothers – it’s time to share the love!”
What is even better is that all profits from sales of Mother designs go to Women for Women International – an amazing charity that helps women in 8 war-torn regions rebuild their lives through training programmes. More info here.
Women for Women International say: “We really can’t thank you enough for choosing to supportWomen for Women International through this inspiring project, which is so in keeping with what we at WfWI believe about the importance of solidarity and the power of bringing women together.”
This MOTHER collection feels good to wear in more ways than one…
