1. Please introduce yourself: Name, what do you do & how many children you have.
My name is Mara Martin and I am a stay at home mom and model with one daughter named Aria.
2. How do you manage to juggle work and life balance as a mother?
Although I don’t model full time and my main job is a stay at home mother, both can be challenging. I think that every mother, whether stay at home or they have a career are more than just mothers.  We as mothers do so much on a day to day basis. Juggling feeding times, sleep schedules, learning and play time along with taking care of the home, makes our jobs as mothers so much more. To add a job in there is just another thing to manage. For me, putting my daughter’s needs first is the most important to me.  But I also want her to learn from me as a great example, showing her to never stop dreaming and chasing those dreams. She is my absolute motivation to be a better mother, working mom, and overall person.
3. What top tips would you give to any working mum?
Know that although it may be hard to leave your child, that you are setting an amazing example for them. Showing them that they too can be strong and independent as well as a loving and nurturing person as they grow.  And that’s the most important thing; that you teach them and help them develop to becoming the best versions of themselves.
4. What do you love most about London?  Do you have a favourite spot with your children?
I’ve never been to London but hope to visit and show Aria around some day! I absolutely love to travel and I want Aria to see the world.  London is on the bucket list!
5. Ho do you define quality ‘me-time’?
When you have a child, “me time” is going to be different than it was before. At least that’s how it is for me and I’m ok with it!  But be sure to take time to yourself  and recharge because it is good not just for you as a person but as a mother too! Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of your baby, so you can the best mom you can be!
6. What is your favourite & least favourite thing about parenthood?
I have so many favorite things about being a parent. One of them is being able see the world through her eyes. I love teaching her to love and smile for others.  Every milestone has been so rewarding for me because I know I am teaching her to become a happy, loving, and amazing person each and every day.
My least favorite thing is constantly worrying about her. The constant worrying about her well-being overwhelms my thoughts sometimes, but when this happens I take a deep breath, clear my mind, and I realize that she is going to be ok!
7. Tell us something people don’t know about you.
I love sports and music.  I can play the piano and learned at a young age and took lessons for 13 years. I played collegiate volleyball on scholarship in the Michigan and Georgia! Some of the best memories of my life are during that time.
8. Given we are all about embracing Motherhood, what advice would you give a first time Mum?
Don’t worry about what others say or do. Know you’re doing the best you can and that sometimes not everything goes as planned! As long as you are doing your very best for your baby, that’s all that matters. Oh and sleep ANYTIME you can when they sleep….!!
9. I’m a mum and…… CAN DO IT ALL
